Introduction

Established in 2016 in Berlin, noblechairs is a fairly new company that has already managed to build a reputation. Chairs from the company are made out of superior materials, and their German designers are experts in the field of gaming chairs, creating gaming office chairs with practical, premium ergonomics and an elegant appearance that has them stand out from the crowd. Most of the company's products can hence be found in both gaming rooms and business environments. With price tags ranging from average to premium, the company also tries to cover a wide range of the market.

Thus far, we were able to follow the company's course closely, and we have reviewed most of their chairs. The EPIC series with real leather was the company's first gaming line, followed by the ICON and the HERO series with different upholstery types to choose from. Nowadays, the use of different build materials is also a more imminent concern for noblechairs, among others. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (BAS) even warns of the fast approach of doomsday by metaphorically stating that "it is now 100 seconds to midnight at the doomsday clock" (from Euractiv.com), which means it is imperative that we as a whole immediately start using sustainable materials. Environmentally aware companies hence tend to use sustainable materials to counteract both the consumption of natural resources and help protect the environment.


As an example, Piñatex is a material resembling PU pleather; it is made from pineapple leaf fiber and manufactured by Ananas Anam. Another, Econyl is a fiber created by the Italian firm Aquafil, which uses synthetic waste, such as industrial plastic, waste fabric, and fishing nets from the ocean, that has been recycled into a new nylon yarn that is of the same quality as the original. In that vein, noblechairs has lately started in on an alternative, eco-friendly approach as well with its products using synthetic materials such as vegan PU leather and, more recently, vinyl/PU hybrid leather made in Germany.

The three noblechairs series, EPIC, ICON, and HERO, have thus been updated with the new vinyl/PU hybrid leather upholstery, as well as several other details. There are four distinct upholstery types to choose from, although pricing is chaotic, ranging from €339.90 to as much as €999.90! Since we have already reviewed all three series, we are mostly going to focus on those modifications that set the newest series apart from the noblechairs originals, which we will do by avoiding details we have already covered in previous reviews.
