Assembly was pretty straightforward. Just make sure to closely follow noblechairs' assembly instructions. You can assemble the chair on your own, but having someone else around to help you will make it easier. It took us about 15 minutes to fully assemble the chair, and the second person was mostly monitoring the whole process rather than helping.
The Chair
The chair's color is brown, which looks absolutely fantastic even under our camera's flash. There is an aluminum label on the backrest with noblechairs' logo, and you will also find their crown logo on the headrest. Finally, there is a golden-stitched combination of both on the right side of the area you will seat yourself in.
The chair's design and build quality are top notch. The company also supports that the real leather and procedures used on it increase UV and moisture resistance, which will delay the aging process. This product even received a UK Fire Safety Certificate (BS 5852). This chair alone will make your office look more sophisticated and luxurious, and the best part is that this specific diachronic design never gets old. Some users might still want something that looks more "high tech" for their offices. Ergohuman's chairs might in such a case be a preferable alternative.
The chair's dimensions are, to put it simply, versatile. Its height can range from 131-141 cm. The sitting area has a width of 56 cm and is 56.5 cm deep, and the backrest is 87 cm tall. How high up from the ground the area you will sit in is situated is also adjustable, ranging from 49.5-59.5 cm.
The sitting area is quite wide and comfortable. Compared to the Ergohuman we have used these past couple years, noblechairs' chair is harder. The backrest has the same feel to it, but is exactly as it should be to meet our needs - the combination definitely produces the desired result. You may spend hours sitting in your EPIC chair without feeling uncomfortable. noblechairs uses molded cold foam with a density of 55% instead of recycled waste scraps under the leather upholstery to increase comfort, especially as the chair ages, and there is the open-cell structure of the cold foam for good breathability, which noblechars says to play a part in the chair's robustness and longevity.
The whole chair screams high quality. In the ergonomic section, we find many goodies. We will start with the 4D armrests, which are made out of PU (polyurethane material). Their covering caught us by surprise, though. Given how expensive and rustic-looking a chair this is, we expected the armrests to be covered in leather as well, or faux leather if some corners had to be cut.
All possible adjustments to the armrests are shown in the photo above.
The chair's adjustability continues with its ability to swivel around 360 degrees, its adjustable height through a safety class-4 gas lift, and a sophisticated rocking mechanism for up to 11 degrees. Tilted positions can also be locked in place and the tilt's tension is dynamically adjustable.
The angle between backrest and sitting area is statically adjustable, ranging from 35-90 degrees. To do so, simply use the lever shown above. You can "fold" the chair in order to put it into a car or to stow it away quite easily. When tired, you can lift the lever and fall way back, or have the chair take you straight to your desk, bent way forward for those gaming session where staying alert and up close is all that matters.
The steel and aluminum chassis can support users with a weight of up to 120 kg. If you have lost track of your weight and think you weigh even more, you had better leave your PC and start exercising. Not only will you be able to use an EPIC series chair, but it will be very good for your health as well!
The casters are of high quality and allow the chair to easily be moved around.
In the chair's bundle are a couple cushions for support of the neck and lumbar regions.
