The following table goes over the material acronyms you will come across while searching for a gaming or office chair. Not only does this table go over what each acronym stands for, but the material traits of each entry are also detailed.

Assembly
Assembly takes two people unless you are willing to spend quite a bit of time on it. The five-star base is the first thing we pick up - to install the caster wheels. Flip it upside down and press the wheels firmly into its openings. Not much strength is required for this task. Turn the five-star base the right way and insert the hydraulics into the wheel's base, and make sure to put the dust-cover shroud over it also. To continue, turn the seat's base upside-down. There are four screws on the metal brackets that need to be unscrewed with the provided Allen key, along with their washers. With that done, take the tilt mechanism and place it under the seat's base by putting the four bolts into place again. A warning label on the tilt mechanism mentions that it has to face towards the front of the seat. Two levers for the metal handles under the seat's base are also included. Make sure to do so before you turn the seat's base the right way. The seat needs to be put on to the hydraulics afterwards.
To make installing the backrest easier, pull the backrest's tilt lever up, but do take care to keep your hands off the chair while doing so or you might hurt yourself. Remove the four bolts on each side of the backrest. As one might have noticed, the warning label covers the openings for these screws. Make sure to create an opening by cutting into the label with the Allen key. The openings on the metal brackets now have to be aligned with openings on the backrest in order for the screws to be inserted correctly, which makes a second pair of hands a useful addition. The two plastic seat-mount covers need to be inserted next, along each side of the chair and with the two smaller bolts. However, the openings for the bolts do not exist on the backrest, which makes this a pretty difficult task. We actually used a professional electric screwdriver to install these properly.
It is now time to attach the two pillows. The neck pillow is attached to the upper part of the chair with its elastic bands, and the lumbar-support pillow is simply placed on to the seat like a pillow for a couch since it has no straps that would otherwise keep it in place.
Initial Impression
We already knew what an ICON chair looks like since we have one with real leather in our office. Their design is different from other chairs we have reviewed in the past. It seems the series offers more space, especially to users with broad shoulders. The black color is certainly a color you never get bored of, and it fits into all working and gaming spaces nicely. This chair looks robust and is also well-crafted, but pricey. The faux PU leather upholstery is of great quality and feels smooth to the touch. The upholstery bears perforations all over, and we do expect it to be able to breathe well, which should keep users from sweating as this chair is being used. The diamond stitching pattern is almost like a trademark of noblechairs' and does, once more, look great. The cushioning of the ICON chair is out of 55% stable cold foam, which should have it keep its shape as the years go by. However, if you want a soft "cushy" seat, the ICON is not for you since it is pretty firm.
The ICON has a solid steel frame and an aluminum five-star base. Along with the metal gas class 4 lift, this chair can hold someone with a weight of up to 150 kg (330.7 lb), which is more than enough. Combined with the perforated cover and diamond-stitching, this makes for a fine, lavish chair despite the faux PU leather upholstery.
