Installation
Position the backplate on the motherboard and slide the black plastic washers over the posts.
Now, position the mounting arms over these posts and secure them with the four Phillips head nuts, before applying some thermal paste in preparation for mounting the heatsink.
Screw the heatsink to the mounting arms, attach the fan to the heatsink, and plug the fan into the CPU fan header to complete the install. Keep in mind that the default setup for the NH-C14S has the fan go under the heatsink to blow air up through the fins. I prefer the down-draft setup with the fan on top since it has the added benefit of cooling surrounding components.
The install was pretty painless. I would rate the process a 9 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). Definitely not hard by any means, its slightly more manageable size makes it easier to install into a case than its bigger siblings, the NH-D15 or NH-D15S.
