Fan Noise

PowerColor's HD 7850 SCS3 doesn't produce any noise because it is passively cooled and, as such, fanless. This is the primary selling point of the card and works as advertised. However, without any form of active cooling, airflow in your case is a definite necessity for the heat to be transported away from your graphics card. Also, many very quiet, actively cooled custom-designs have been released recently, like the GeForce 650 Ti and GTX 660 that provide similar performance at very low noise levels.

The PowerColor HD 7850 SCS3 is your best choice if you absolutely must have a completely noiseless gaming experience, though.
