Packaging & Contents

Raijintek's Aidos CPU cooler is a very small budget tower cooler. The box the Aidos comes in is equally small, as are those of other Raijintek coolers. The box measures in at roughly 11 x 9 x 17.5 cm. The front of the box has an angled shot of the heatsink and fan, with either or both the company and product names readily visible on all sides. The left side lists all the relevant specifications of the Aidos cooler, while the back of the box is only covered in a few more shots of the cooler from various angles.

The right side lists features of the Aidos CPU cooler. These include the Non-Copper base design (C.D.C - CPU Direct Contact), Patented Solder-less louver fin assembly, and many more. The top has a small paragraph listing a few of the cooler's features along with the fact that it was "Designed in Germany". The box is very small yet bright, colorful and attention-grabbing.

Opening the box shows the mounting hardware on top, with a simple piece of cardboard protecting and separating the fan from the heatsink, but the packaging is barely adequate as the Aidos came with a few slightly bent fins. While this won't break the cooler or ruin its performance, better packaging would keep such mishaps from happening in the first place. Raijintek is in fact wasting very little material on the package itself, which is good for the environment.

Raijintek's Aidos comes with everything you will need to install the cooler on any modern Intel- or AMD socket. The mounting system, while somewhat unrefined, consists of four backplate screws, four black spacers, four LGA2011 screws, four nuts, two M3 screws, five rubber-fan mounts, and a packet of thermal compound. The mounting hardware is pretty straightforward, with its simple design and universal socket support. A simple instruction booklet by Raijintek keeps the hardware needed to a minimum and simplifies the installation procedure.
