Shape

Contrary to what the name suggests, the Viper Mini isn't simply a scaled-down Viper. Relatively speaking, the Mini is much taller, with a slightly tapered and centered hump instead of the low-profile hump of the Viper. The Mini also has a more pronounced front and back flare, along with a much narrower grip width. Much like on the Viper, the main buttons feature deep comfort grooves, and the sides are only curved horizontally, not vertically. Additionally, the side buttons on the right side have been omitted. As a result of these changes the Mini fills the hand surprisingly well despite being such a small mouse. It's a rather unique shape that handles well in practice.


As for grip styles, it's mostly suited for claw or fingertip grip. Palm grip works passably but is far from ideal. The Viper Mini is a small mouse, but due to the design, it should fit medium-sized hands as well. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Viper Mini very comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the Razer Viper Mini and several other ambidextrous mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and the main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
