ROCCAT Burst Core Review

Packaging

Aside from the mouse, one finds a quick start guide inside the rather compact box.

Weight

My scale shows around 68 g (+/- 1 g), which is exactly in line with the weight ROCCAT cites. Much like the Burst Pro, the Core has excellent weight balance, which makes it feel as light as it is.

Cable

The Burst Core features a regular rubber cable. Flexibility is below average, especially compared to the soft, braided cable found on the Burst Pro. It's not too heavy, so still manageable, but using a bungee is recommended nonetheless. Its measured length is 1.80 m.

Feet

The feet on the Burst Core are black-dyed PTFE (Teflon) feet with slightly rounded edges. Glide is very good. These are the same feet as on earlier ROCCAT releases, such as the Kain 100 or Kone Pure Ultra. The ring around the sensor doesn't touch the surface and merely serves aesthetic purposes.
