Overclocking

To find the maximum overclock of our card we used a combination of ATITool, AMD GPU Clock Tool and our benchmarking suite.



The final overclocks of our card are 796 MHz Core (13 % overclock) and 1161 MHz Memory (17 % overclock). If these high overclocks can be found on all product batches, the card has the potential to be loved by many overclockers. At the clocks we reached the card can easily beat any stock HD 3870 card which costs about $30 more.


For a single slot cooler, these are very nice temperatures. Unfortunately the cooler tends to be noisier than necessary, I would have preferred a bit higher temperatures with less noise.
