Inside the Case

The Tuniq 3 is based on the same chassis as many of the other Sunbeam cases we have come to know and love. It includes the 3D Core Fan, which is a bracket the holds two 120mm blue LED fans. The top fan can be angled to improve airflow to the CPU cooler, and the other fan can be moved to many different positions on the bracket. With the 3D Core Fan removed the interior is much more visible, showing the large non-removable motherboard tray.

The front area has four 5.25" bays, two external 3.5" bays and three internal 3.5" bays, all with tool-less latches to secure the drives. The rear of the case features tool-less PCI locks.

The HDD cage is located in the lower front of the case and is rotated out toward the side, allowing drives to slide in more easily. Below the cage there are openings for the CCFL tubes' wires to enter the case.

The wires for the front panel are all clearly labeled, and there are seven total sets: Power LED, HDD LED, Power Switch, Reset Switch, Speaker, USB, and Audio. The wires from the front ports are attached to a small printed circuit board, and the rest of the wires go through the front bezel into the door. Behind the front bezel at the bottom of the case is another opening for an optional 120mm fan, and the grill has large holes to let plenty of air through.
