Packaging

Both Haste variants come rolled up, but their boxes are different. The non-backlit XXL version arrives in a standard, narrow box, while the XL RGB comes in a more chunky package. As for their contents, the XXL doesn't have anything inside besides the mouse pad, and the XL RGB only has a braided USB cable packed with it. With all due honesty, I approve of them not including any extra paper booklets that would end up as trash anyways.

Size and Surface

Besides the lighting, there's one more difference between the two Haste pads, which is their overall width. The XXL version is wider by a whole 100 mm. You can see their full dimensions below:

XXL: 900 mm x 300 mm x 3 mm (35.43" x 11.81" x 0.12")
XL RGB: 800 mm x 300 mm x 3 mm (31.50" x 11.81" x 0.12")

Both pads lay flat relatively well after unboxing, but the XL RGB is a bit stiffer at the edges and needs more time to lay out flat. After a few days of use, it should lay out flat fully, though.

Moving on to the surface, it's probably the most common ODM mouse pad material you can find, which isn't a bad thing. The reason I know is because I have been using a cheap (but really good) ODM mouse pad as my main for over a year, and it almost has the exact same surface and backing, but the edge stitching is denser and of much higher quality than on the Tecware mats. The surface is not extremely smooth—its touch is similar to the SteelSeries QcK, but it's a tad smoother.

The glide is smooth and even, and there are no bumpy spots or uneven parts. It takes minimal effort to swipe the mouse across the surface area, which obviously also depends on the weight of your mouse. Unfortunately, both pads have a raised printed-on logo, so the mouse cannot glide across the whole pad freely. Of course, the pads are really big, so there's a ton of room to move your rodent around. Still, it's a pity they've chosen this printing method instead of a more subtle one.

Underside

The backing is made out of regular, textured rubber. They stick rather well to my desk, but I have seen better. Their massive size definitely helps with traction, and they can't really move around, especially if you place your keyboard on top. Once again, the RGB variant is slightly less worse in that regard because its edges and control panel aren't tacky.

In this picture, you can see a macro close up of the texture on the bottom.
