User Experience

The backrest and seat are of satisfactory dimensions, but I would have wanted the seat to be a bit longer for a better grip to the legs. My legs seem to lean down towards the floor a bit instead of being level since the lumbar-support cushion takes up a significant amount of the seat's length. Given I am short, taller users will face the issue as well, and more pronounced than me. The knees should be on the seat. Cushioning for the seat is aplenty, especially in the middle, but the contoured edges don't have enough. When you squeeze the raised edge a bit, you may feel the metal frame.

The neck-support cushion is in an optimal position, at least for small people like me. The filling in both cushions is most likely memory foam, which makes them comfortable. With the lumbar-support cushion attached to the backrest, you can adjust its height. However, removing it should you not need it is difficult, and putting it back in place even more so. There is a safety buckle at the end of every strap that secures this cushion, and it is quite hard to deal with these as both are hidden inside the backrest. You may get the hang of it after getting to it several times, but you may also damage the upholstery or even the cushioning inside after too many tries. I would have liked to remove it, only to see whether I would better fit into the seat, but I found it tricky and time consuming enough to where I did not.

The recline lever is kind of small, but its grip is good. The 150° recline is plenty for falling back and enjoying a good football match or relaxing between intense work or gaming sessions. There are two levers under the seat—one for the height and the other for the tilt lock/unlock. Both levers have stripes to prevent fingers from slipping off.

I would like the height-adjustment lever to be moved slightly towards the rear of the seat because attempts at adjusting the height had the armrest get in the way, which meant I had to stand up and lean towards the front. The same goes for the rocking lock/unlock lever, although it is in a slightly better position because it does not require as much force to operate. The chair rocks freely based on user weight, but is kind of stiff. I did try to loosen the tension with the knob, but it probably requires a heavier person to rock back and forth effectively. In fact, other users who are heavier than me easily rocked back and forth.

The armrests are of the typical dimensions, and their padding is kind of hard. They can easily be adjusted and seem to be sturdy enough to endure abuse. However, their plastic quality could have been higher given the price. Actually, in this price range, I would like to see 4D instead of 3D armrests.

The PU upholstery of my sample has some minor flaws on the backrest's left and right side, the headrest, and in the middle of the front of the backrest. It seems that the upholstery was pulled harder from one side during the manufacture. Additionally, there is a twist on the right side of the lumbar-support cushion.

What I almost always point out are the exposed bolts on the plastic bits on the seat's sides. Tesoro considered this and provided plastic covers for the bolts.

The casters in this chair roll well, and I found them to roll smoothly on even thick carpets.
