Performance Rating

The following graph compares the total performance rating of the NAS to that of other units. The comparison is pretty straightforward: The tested unit is shown as 100% and all other units' performance is relative to it. Please note that we measure only raw performance in the graph below, not available features and functionality.

Performance per Dollar

The following graph is probably the most interesting to most of you since it shows how well the unit performs in relation to its price. We looked up the current USD price of each NAS on the popular online shop Newegg and used it and all relative performance numbers to calculate the performance-per-dollar index. We search for the unit at other popular online shops (Tigerdirect, Amazon) if Newegg doesn't have the unit in stock and search for it at popular EU shops (e.g. Caseking), converting its price to USD, if the unit is not sold in the States.
