Software
The driver software for the Ventus X Optical RGB is Tt eSPORTS Command Center. I honestly don't really like this program because it looks and feels cluttered. On the other hand, it is functional. I did not encounter any bugs or errors while using it. I would still love to see an upgraded, more user-friendly revision of this software.
First things first, there are 14 languages to choose from in the top-right corner. The profiles can be set at the top of the window, and there is a maximum of five available, and they can be exported and imported into the program. Below this are two buttons, Normal and Battle. These are for two types of lighting. Normal mode lets you change your own settings and Battle mode changes LED colors based on clicking frequency. Below these are the button-mapping settings. You can remap all the buttons according to your preferences. On the right are the more detailed profile settings and macro editor. The Performance button takes us to the sensor's settings, and the Light Option button brings up the lighting menu—more on the lighting below this section.
The software takes up 60 MB and consumes roughly 55 MB of memory while running in the background on my configuration. The mouse has on-board memory, so if you feel like it, you can remove the software entirely after setting everything up to your liking.
Lighting
There are three main lighting modes—static lighting, a breathing effect, and a color cycle effect. There are two individually programmable lighting zones; the scroll wheel and Tt eSPORTS logo on the back of the mouse both can be set to different effects based on the set lighting option. Specifications state that we can pick from among 16.8 million available colors.
I made a video in order to demonstrate these effects:
