Vantec always seems to ship their products in nice colorful packaging and have continued doing this with the NexStar Dual Bay. The front of the package lists a few key features and a picture of the dock. One side of the box again features a picture of the Dual Bay dock and the other side has a list of system requirements. As far as those requirements go anything better than a Pentium III and Windows ME will work, of course you will also need an eSATA connection and a USB connection. The back of the box has a description of the product, lists of features and specifications and a list of contents within the package. There is more than enough information on the box to inform a potential buyer.

The NexStar Dual Bay ships in compartmentalized packaging to keep everything secure. Within the package is a bundle of accessories to get everything running including a USB cable, eSATA cable, power adapter and an added bonus of an eSATA adapter for an expansion slot. The slot adapter is a nice extra for those without an eSATA input and allows anyone with regular SATA connection to use the dock. The USB cable is about 4ft. long and the eSATA cable is around 3 1/2 feet, both long enough to place the dock anywhere on your desk, though the power cable could be a little longer. The power adapter has an operating range of 100-240V @ 1.5 Amps. This version uses a standard American two-blade plug and has a green light which indicates if it's getting power.
