A Closer Look
The Store'n'Go for Mac makes a very sturdy impression. The top cover is protected by a thin plastic sheet right out of the box. Interestingly enough, the white drive utilizes a silver underside, while the dark version goes for an all black look.
The top plastic cover is a few Millimeters thick and completely smooth, while the underside has a slight texture to it and comes with four littke knobs so that it doesn't start vibrating the surface it rests on. Verbatim has constructed the drive in such a way, that seems to make a disassembly only possible by breaking the exterior enclosure in the process. Needless to say, there is absolutely no reason to do so anyways.
All the connectors are lined up in the back of the Store'n'Go drive. From left to right, there is the power connector, the Firewire 800 and USB 3.0 plugs. I had to fool around with the lighting and contrast to show you the Verbatim logo edged into the top cover of the drive enclosure. This looks pretty sweet and should be more visible in the black version as shadows should show up better on the dark surface.
A round little LED in the rear right corner of the drive lights up when connecting it to the host system. It blinks whenever data is transferred.
