Established in 2011, Xtrfy is a peripherals company based in Sweden. Beyond merely making the MZ1 into a wireless variant, the MZ1 Wireless also inherits the ability to swap the back cover from the M4 and M42 Wireless. In addition to the default back cover, which matches the original MZ1 shape, a second cover with a lower hump is included. Furthermore, Xtrfy provides the STP files necessary for creating one's own back cover, which could then be 3D-printed and used on the MZ1 Wireless. In terms of internals, the MZ1 Wireless is virtually identical to the M4 and M42 Wireless: PixArt PAW3370 sensor, Kailh GM 8.0 switches for the main buttons, and a 500 mAh battery allowing for up to 75 hours of battery life. Remarkably, the MZ1 Wireless only weighs 2 g more than the wired MZ1, despite retaining most of the RGB, which can still be configured directly on-board, along with many other customization options. By default, the MZ1 Wireless is available in either black or white, but can be ordered with a variety of custom colors if so desired.

Packaging
Aside from the mouse, one finds a charging cable (USB Type-A to Type-C), wireless extender, wireless dongle, additional back cover, magnetic screwdriver, sticker, quick start guide, and set of replacement feet inside the box.
The back cover can be used to adjust the hump curvature:
Unlike on the wired M42, the back cover doesn't attach magnetically and is screwed in with a single screw at the bottom instead.
