It is Estimated that Half a Million iPads Could Have Been Sold for Launch Weekend.
Despite reservations about the iPad's lack of flash and multitasking capability from many in the tech community it appears the iPad is and will be immensely popular. Apple reports sales numbers of 300,000 units for Saturday alone, but has not released sales numbers for Sunday. Gene Munster, an Apple analyst for Piper Jaffray, believes sales did not slow significantly for Sunday and possibly 600,000 units were sold over the entire weekend. If this is true it would make sales numbers for the iPad launch significantly higher than the figures for the launch of the iPhone. While there were some reports of stores not having enough iPads most stores had plenty. Apple seems to have provided enough stock to feed the thronging hordes of Apple fans.

I'm trademarking this or whatever so we don't get screwed out of the idea.
It is a bit muddy though.. Google is huge and have a quite different approach to software. Time will tell.
I do agree with the fellow that wanted the bashing to stop. It's just silly. Apple products are worth the premium price, if you're interested in those things. For people like me, who thinks this is a minor vision of heaven they're not worth it though. Style has nothing to do with my person. :pimp:
But this iPad thing just doesn't have any interest to me at all. I just don't see any real practical usage for it over a laptop or netbook.
1. I put this in the group with Google Wave. I am not sure what it is suppose to be or why the hell would I need it. So I will just assume this is some niche market I am not apart of.
2. You missed a "0" at the end of 300,000.
I'm not going to buy one and I don't see a reason to care about the masses of people buying these. So I guess I don't care.
Yea, I have too much time on my hand. It start at $299/bag
I demand you to kill all those idiots that apple use as engineers, they shouldnt even be called engineers ...
Making an ipod touch bigger, for hmmmm, 200 more?, greedy bastards
