Acer Intros Aspire One D255 Happy Netbook

Acer rolled a new variant of its recently released Aspire One D255 netbook called "Happy". The D255 Happy features a pleasant looking white and olive-green color scheme on its body. Other than this, it's the same exact on the inside as the Aspire One D255. The netbook makes use of Intel's new Atom N550 dual-core processor, has a 10.1" 1024x600 display, 1 GB of DDR3 memory, integrated GMA 3150 graphics, 250 GB HDD. Connectivity includes 10/100 Ethernet, and WiFi b/g/n. Other features include a 4-in-1 memory card reader, webcam, a multigesture touchpad, and a 6-cell, 8-hour battery. There is no word on the pricing, but we don't see why it shouldn't carry the same price as the other D255s, that's $399.

nice design, fine specs.

Atom N550 dual-core is good and effective. Tho we need more Athlon Neo cpus. And shame it has no ION graphics.

I agree that it is aesthetically stomach churning. I don't like the "made-it-myself-out-of-two-broken-laptops" look.

I like the color. What i hate is why the hell is Intel fighting so damn much from netbook vendors using GMA X4500 HD on their netbooks? Not this GMA950 junk all over, just repacked and under other name...

Cute :)

I think a graphite grey version would look sexy.

What is the deal with green tech lately? Does it make it more environmentally conscious for it to be colored green?

I wonder when will anyone make a netbook covered with Gorilla Glass on a top cover and around keyboard. Or even with keys made out of glass. Not sure how it would feel to use, but it would look great for sure. And easier to clean as well (and grease if there is a black glass involved :D ).
