Antec Launches KÜHLER H2O 920 Maximum-Performance CPU Cooler

In its 25th anniversary year, Antec, Inc., the global leader in high-performance computer components and accessories for the gaming, PC upgrade and Do-It-Yourself markets, today announced the KÜHLER H2O 920 - Antec's new maximum-performance liquid CPU cooler.

Antec's KÜHLER H2O 920 offers a sealed liquid CPU cooling solution for PC hardware, overclockers and gaming enthusiasts world-wide, and was developed in conjunction with Asetek (www.asetek.com,) the industry-leading supplier of OEM liquid cooling systems for computers. An advancement of the popular KÜHLER H2O 620, several key upgrades of the KÜHLER H2O 920 enable it to deliver even greater CPU cooling performance in a quick, easy-to-install package that requires zero maintenance and is built to OEM standards for reliability.
Antec's KÜHLER H2O 920 features a double-thick radiator and two 120 mm fans, as well as interactive fan control via Asetek's ChillControl software. In addition, the KÜHLER H2O 920 includes the latest-generation low-profile pump for exceptional liquid circulation while preserving internal airflow, easy-bend tubes for maximum flexibility in radiator positioning, a third-generation copper cold plate for optimal conduction and a push-pull configuration for high airflow and maximum CPU heat dissipation.

The KÜHLER H2O 920 utilizes Asetek's Advanced Fan Control technology (for customized liquid temperature fan control via Asetek's ChillControl V software) to deliver Antec's renowned Quiet Computing technology for quiet, efficient performance. Additionally, the KÜHLER H2O 920's dual Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) speed-switchable cooling fans provide finely tuned control delivering high-performance at minimum noise levels.

ChillControl V software, which is exclusive to the KÜHLER H2O 920, provides monitoring and control of liquid temperatures, fan speed, pump speed, sound level, and the ability to customize fan speeds at three levels based on liquid temperature for maximum performance and lowest noise. ChillControl V software also allows users to select and modify the Antec logo color on the pump cap to match system interiors.

The 920 is just the parts Asetek use to make the H70, the 620 was the base Asetek used for the H70 and the rad they used on the H50 although they used different tubing and maybe connectors on these compared to the ones branded corsair.

It's pretty much just another Asetek cooler with sticker on it :laugh:

I would hope the 920 performs exactly like the H70, although the 620 has a different base than the H50 so there may be some difference there.

All of this sealed water coolers are made by the same manufacturer, Asetek, based on their LCLC (Low Cost Liquid Cooling) they've presented years ago for OEMs.

If someone has the chance to try them all, in the same system, same room temp with the same fans, they're gonna perform the same way because they're the same thing (except for the tubing in the Antec).

spiking to 84C on one of the cores sure aint great, but i dont think any other coolers in this size/price range will do any better... and hey, at least it was stable XD



also, software control of pump + fan speed does seem quite nice. i like that.

I dunno. I just can't see spending $120 on a psuedo water cooler (with Delta fan) which is bested by high end air like the Venomous-X at half the cost. Just doesn't make sense to me.

I haven't overclocked an Intel cpu for a while, I have AMD that's why I thought 84c is too high.

The temps in the video were a bit to high for my liking, then again, if it is in fact a 980x @4.6 GHz being stress tested then i give it a full pardon based on the fact that it was able to remain stable on such a cooler.

There is a lot more than just a new sticker guys. We have redesigned our coldplate specifically for CPU heatmaps and if you think this performance was decent, you should see it on the Sandy Bridge platform.

The tubes give you increased flexibility without any loss in performance or life of the product. This is the result of our engineers spending a year on materials research with evaporation testing, temperatures, flow and more.

The ChillControl software is something we have had for awhile, but gave it an upgrade and integrated control into the pump while maintaining a low profile.

pricing?? if it is indeed as good as that video. i consider 80c on a 980x at 4.6GHZ damn good from a single rad cooler. I may considering getting one to relieve the stress on the motherboard from the big heatsinks. Also is it possible to change the fans??
