Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative Starts Now

Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced the arrival of the free Portal 2 update titled "Perpetual Testing Initiative."

Available now for PC and Mac, The "Perpetual Testing Initiative" allows players to easily create, share, and play Portal 2 puzzles. The Initiative comes with a simplified Puzzle Maker that allows that creation of mind-bending puzzles without ever leaving the game.
The Puzzle Maker can directly publish maps to the Steam Workshop where users can browse, vote on, and select to play them. Selected puzzles will automatically be downloaded and installed inside Portal 2.

Portal 2 holds a Metacritic score of 95% and has been awarded numerous Game of Year awards. It features expansive single and cooperative multiplayer game modes. For more information on Portal 2 and its downloadable content, please visit http://www.thinkwithportals.com.

Gonna create a highly complex mind-blowing light bridge chamber, even the creators won’t find their way out. So difficult I will have to plan it backwards from the exit. Hahaha should I make it modern or a Cave Johnson 1950s retro chamber? Hey Valve!

Ever since first hearing about this and playing custom levels in Portal 1, this is all I've wanted. Rumor has it you can even create co-op maps. We'll see ;)

The editor is straight up awesome. I created a simple, yet huge chamber in just a couple of minutes. Valve did awesome with this.

Yeah I know, it sucks that once a new game comes out, all previous games stop working. I wish there was some way to stop that.

Howdy pardner.:toast: I've been around TPU, just perhaps not quite as much as previous times, but I'm still here. I'm quite active on this thread right now, if you'd like to dive in.

Enjoy your new CPU. :)
