Unreal Engine 4 PC Exclusive: Fortnite
Epic Games' Fortnite will be the company's first game to take advantage of Unreal Engine 4. Debuted at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, the cartoony action title is being described as "a co-op sandbox survival game," with building at the core of the game. "Everything you find allows you to build and improve your structure," producer Tanya Jessen told an audience at a Comic-Con panel. Given that no current console can run Unreal Engine 4, the game will be exclusive to PC. According to The Verge, Epic's Cliff Bleszinski told the audience: "This is a PC designed game, shipping exclusively on the PC."
Fortnite will be available in 2013.

Nice, so they built combined Left for Dead and Team Fortress into one game and releasing it with Unreal4 eyecandy. Could be pretty fun.
Graphics wise
Here they have a brand new shiny engine AND they are gonna give us lowly PC users an "Exclusive" to showcase it. Then we get a cartoony Zombie game. Not really big on the "Wow Factor" Not really the UE4 release to show it's power.
Now graphics and mechanics aint everything in a game, but those two factors very much shape a game.
I'd rather see more PC games using Dice's FrostBite 2 or later FrostBite 3 engines.
I really don't get all the hate in this thread. Epic games is creating a new IP and it is exclusive to PC. I don't frackin' care what the graphics look like.
My guess is they went with something cartoonish either because the devs got sick of making serious shit all the time or there is something they are trying to showcase (like physics) that are best animated in cartoon charaters than realistic ones. Either way, I don't care. Engines don't make or break games.
Why another Unreal Tournament? Unreal Tournament III barely sold 1 million copies globally across all platforms and why buy it when it is practically a clone of Unreal Tournament 2004? If Epic wants to make money directly off its engine, it needs new IP.
