NVIDIA Releases ForceWare SLI 8800 Vista Drivers

NVIDIA today released new version of the ForceWare Vista 32/64bit drivers. This time the new BETA ForceWare version 100.59 should enable SLI support for DirectX9/OpenGL with GeForce 8800 GPUs. DX10 NVIDIA SLI support will be available in a future driver. Click here to read the full v100.59 Release Notes.

Heard many people had very poor SLI performance with these. So it isnt so crazy that the performance test with Crysis on dual g80 SLI were pretty poor!? So when the drivers get better and the game gets optimized i think it will run much better!!? If not, well then we always have the r600!!? :D

Overclocking
GPU overclocking is no longer supported in the default GPU driver control
panel. This feature will be available in a separate downloadable utility.

On SLI‐ready systems, the NVIDIA Control Panel now includes SLI controls
in the 3D Settings Category task page.
This driver has limited support for NVIDIA SLI™ technology on top DirectX
9.0 and OpenGL applications for GeForce 8800 GPUs only. NVIDIA will
continue to provide driver updates for NVIDIA SLI on an ongoing basis to
add new product support.

Nvidia keeps releasing new drivers for everything but the 7 series and under for XP. It is really starting to piss me off. Us XP users with anything but an 8800 are still stuck using the buggy 93.81 pile of crap they released back in November. NVidia needs to get their act together and stop shitting on their customers or I am going to jump ship. /rant

i hope this is good news for crysis performance! that rumor was pretty scary, let's hope it's not true!

btw, it always scares me a little how they hardly ever list the 7900gto in the supported part of the drivers. it always is supported, they just seem to leave that one out. scary!
