Zalman CNPS20X Air Cooler & Reserator 5 Liquid Cooler on Display at Computex 2019

Zalman had their Reserator 5 all-in-one liquid coolers on display during our visit at Computex 2019. This latest liquid cooler design is definitely unique in the looks department but also features a few design elements that set it apart from competing products. First and foremost is the pump, which is the world's first patented dual water pump with dual blades for improved cooling performance. It also uses a larger diameter (8 mm) tubing for improved coolant flow. Meanwhile, the fans and pump feature RGB LEDs which can be controlled through Zalman's Z-Sync software. When it comes to sizes, the company will be offering 240 mm, 280 mm, and 360 mm versions.

All Reserator 5 based units will have fans that feature AFDB (advanced fluid dynamic bearings) and utilize a spider-leg styled open frame. The 240 mm and 360 mm versions will max out at 2000 RPM while the 280 mm unit will top out at 1500 RPM. When it comes to the pump, it has a speed of 2800-3000 RPM and has a flow rate of 3 l/min. In regards to materials, all three feature a copper block and aluminium radiator. Zalman has made sure to support every socket imaginable here as well including Intel LGA2066, LGA2011-V3, LGA2011, LGA115x, and LGA1366, along with AMD's AM4, AM3+, AM3, FM2+, FM2.
When it comes to air coolers Zalman's CNPS20X is their new flagship dual-tower design featuring a laundry list of features. It makes use of four-dimensional corrugate cooling fins that increase heat dissipation area by 15% while also creating 350 individual air flow passages. It has six RDTH (reverse direct touch heat pipes) with IHD (interactive heat pipe transfer design) which results in minimized heat resistance and the transfer of heat more quickly in both directions. What is likely to garner the most attention other than it's unique 140 mm RGB spider leg fan is the copper fins located in the center of the heatsink. Rather than use an all aluminium fin stack Zalman has added copper fins for improved performance. However, this does increase heatsink weight with the design being listed at 1300g. The PWM fans have a max RPM of 1500 and like the Reserator 5 liquid coolers, the fans LEDs can be controlled with the Z-sync software. Socket support is also the same as the Reserator 5 series including Intel LGA2066, LGA2011-V3, LGA2011, LGA115x, LGA1366, and AMD's AM4, AM3+, AM3, FM2+, FM2.
Zalman also had the CNPS17X on hand which uses the same design principals as the CNPS20X but is a single tower design and at 700g weighing in at roughly half of what its more substantial sibling does. Both the CNPS20X and CNPS17X make use of an auto gear wrenches for easier installation as well.
The CNPS16X, among others, was also on display. It features a dual fan design that has dual RGB LED fans along with an RGB LED-equipped top cover for those wanting to light things up. The CNPS16X is available in black or white versions. The other coolers at the exhibit were the CNPS10X Optima II Black, CNPS10X Optima II White, CNPS9X Optima, CNPS80G, CNPS2XL, and CNPS3X. Suffice to say the company appeared ready to cool things off.
