AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition Not a Worldwide Release, Available only in US and China
Apparently, AMD isn't celebrating its 50th anniversary in all parts of the globe, judging from recent reports regarding its AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition. Apparently, the exclusive, limited-edition graphics card will only be available for US and China customers - two of the biggest worldwide markets, for sure. This is a strange decision from AMD, since a sold unit is a sold unit; however, this may be a sign of really limited availability of the graphics card and the hardware powering it.Manufactured in TSMC's 7 nm fabrication plants, the RX 5700 XT is infused with AMD's next-gen RDNA architecture, which makes this a hot product, even if its performance and pricing aren't what everybody had (sometimes unrealistically) hoped for. That this limited edition graphics card is only available in these two select countries may speak to the amount of inventory AMD will have available to move on the RX 5700 bandwagon. Even though AMD would love to sell as many of these limited edition graphics cards as possible, especially considering their $50 premium over the reference RX 5700 XT ($499 vs $449), that the company is artificially limiting availability speaks to an even more limited edition of the hardware than previously expected. This, in turn, may speak to a need to tighten up the belt on AMD's own distribution capacities lest AIB partners end up with unsatisfying amounts of hardware. This is just speculation, so take it for what it is; whatever the reason AMD did have to limit this release, I can see some grumbling customers on the horizon already.

RTX 2080 can be had for the same money as a Radeon VII and the RTX 2080 Ti... well has no competiton, hence the silly money halo thang.
"Friendly reminder that just because someone writes it doesn't mean it is true....
We will be expanding AMD.com sales to more countries, so we expect the 50th anniversary edition will also be available in: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
Sorry we are not offering global availability at this point. We hear you on the desire. The team is focused on expanding into more regions/countries while making sure we can fully support customers."

TH: Linux Driver Points to Unannounced AMD Navi Graphics Cards
At least it was a good mining card at the time.
But with water cooler it was nice card. For 2K monitor gaming, it did not disappoint me.
I could extract extra performance from it and while running at max 42°C. :)
I sold Vega two months ago on eBay and earned back 370€.
I went to Radeon VII which I water cool also.
Here also water cooler is needed to make it run better. :shadedshu:

Coolers have been really disappointing from AMD on recent generations of cards. On Vega 64 and Radeon VII they sounded like vacum cleaner while still not cooling card good enogh.
Let's see how good the vapor chamber cooler on 5700XT would be.
The Vega is literally the only reason I have a water cooled pc.
I grabbed a Vega 56 for my HTPC and just bought a block at the same time.
EK and AMD, working together to put there hand in our pockets...an expensive happy ending?
I'm not so diluted not to believe Navi "stocks" won't be sucked-up, like moisture in summer at Death Valley. I'd say it will look bad in just 2-3 days and that will maintain through July. Heck I'll say all you'll see or be able to get are sticker-ed XT reference units, but if willing and ready you can get one if diligent. I can't see most AIB's having their XT versions until perhaps first of August. I honestly don't know when non-XT will see shelves and in what iterations, I heard that non-XT was AIB only, no reference designs. Best is that they (RTG) have AIB start sales of their XT versions, while AIB's where provided non-XT chips earlier to build stock and those will be more available at first weeks of August.
