NVIDIA Releases GeForce 441.20 WHQL Drivers

NVIDIA today posted GeForce 441.20 WHQL software. The drivers come game-ready for "Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Order," and "Stormland." This includes SLI support for the latest Star Wars game. NVIDIA also introduced support for CUDA 10.2 compute API. The list of G-Sync compatible monitors has been expanded with three more displays. Among the issues addressed with this release are geometry corruption on GTX 900-series "Maxwell" GPUs with "Red Dead Redemption" in Vulkan; G-Sync getting disengaged when V-Sync is disabled in "Red Dead Redemption." Vulkan-related errors with "The Surge" have also been fixed. There's also a surprising bug-fix, "Quake 3 Arena" appearing washed-out when color-depth is set to 16-bit. Performance drops with "CS: GO" have also been addressed. Grab the driver from the link below.

You think the world's best selling game and the 70% gpu market share would go hand in hand and not make these kinds of things happen.

I don't play that game, but you can't you just roll back to an older driver that did work for GTAV or the game ready one for it?

This is a good reason to update older cards.

It’s a damn shame if you have to choose driver based on whether you want to play newer or older games.

---> just so that I can understand:

When multi gpu support is enabled (Red Dead Redemption), does nvidia mean for all cards OR JUST WHEN THE CARDS ARE ALREADY IN SLI or SLI capable?

...I ask because, mgpu dx12 has not been enabled by nvidia on any game unless the cards are SLI capable/enabled.

Multi GPU support would mean a pair of 1060 or 2060 could do mgpu... but this has not been the case with nvidia so far.

The only game with mutli gpu support so far is AOTS in dx12 and Vulkan.

Thank you, its an important distinction in the two scenarios

Probably you need to ask game developer about mGPU support. Because nvidia mentions SLI not mGPU. So be it DX12 or Vulkan nvidia most likely going to support SLI capable card only. and their SLI most likely still using their proprietary API for SLI instead of using mGPU support that built into DX12/Vulkan.

I use the q3 arena for fps testing and noticed the washed out color with dual monitors. This is nice now.

Installed 441.20, ran RDR2, and promptly gave me a NVLDDMKM.sys BSOD the second the game initialized, this on a machine that hasn't had a single BSOD in 2 years. So I am doing a rollback to 441.12.

Does that driver version co-operate with GTA V? Don't get crashes?
RecusGTAV crashes started after Rockstar launcher update.
I would 2nd this....GTA V worked perfectly fine before they force implemented the Rockstar Launcher...after that, stuff started to break.

Just tried the new drivers with RDR2 and 2 way SLI 980 Ti. Went from 99%/0% to 95%/99% and about 45-50fps in Valentine camp to about 57-63fps. Very minor improvement but my frametimes are still bad. Was sitting at around 21ms with 62fps, using triple buffering gets me to around 10ms but its bouncy.

Bad thing is though is that TAA must be enabled now if you use SLI. Without TAA enabled the game becomes unbearably bright and unplayable.

There was no PC release of Red Dead Redemption, It's Red Dead Redemption 2.

It crashed me 1 time the past week but it's better than later drivers.
However these crashes started since the rockstar launcher got installed.

Never had any issues before this launcher.

I do confirm Shadow Of The Tomb Raider does not works with these drivers in DX12 mode. DX11 works fine though.

Nice to know I am not alone. I'd really love to get more frames out of this game, hope they fix that someday.

Yeah actually I'm too very glad I'm not alone and your post helped me to solve the problem.
I just installed previous drivers 441.12 and now I have no problems with DX12, yay!

You don’t. I never concern myself with “game ready” drivers. I’m playing RDR2 with 431.18 (I think) from July 23rd. As long as driver is stable I keep as long as possible.
