I think it's more if you own it on PS4 or XBO you get it on PS5 or XSX

I'm going to guess none. Not really much headroom for it. That is an 8yo uArch at least.

This is pretty cool.
In contrast, look at what Bethesda does with milking Skyrim without even giving two fucks about fixing at least some of the bugs modders cannot.

I'm way past looking at Bethesda, I can find better ways to waste time :D Maybe the company just needs to create all the assets for TESVI and hand them over to us, so we can save ourselves 5 GOTYs and re-releases :p

But yeah... CDPR showing how its done :rockout:

Perhaps i'm being a bit thick here, but how would it work?

If you pop the game into a PS4, those enhancements will be limited right as Ray Tracing isn't an option.

If you put the disc into a PS5 I presume you just download the PS5 version or would it just be a patch with all the bells and whistles enabled? I presume latter to prevent installing a secondary trophy list.

Interesting.

Bought W3 goty, only got 1 hour logged due to busyness of life, guess I might not see how the original game was.

Oh, time to put another 150 or so hours into this, thanks CDPR!

Realistically, not that much different outside of better lightning and I guess they will add some effects that makes the game look closer to the older trailers, stuff like volumetric clouds which were gone from the release.
Gameplay and story wise it will 99% be the same is my guess.

No guessing required

Developed to take advantage of the most powerful gaming hardware, the next-gen edition of the game will feature a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing, HDR and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content.

I've literally been trying to find a way to get myself in the mood to play it amd have slowly watched the ultra HD mods and stuff get better whole I told myself I'll wait a little longer for it to improve a. It more (forever just around the corner) but now it looks like CDPR is going to deliver me a final date with the game I've put off for 5 years now.

And one that I own the current GOTY version 2x over now. (Steam and GOG)

OMG, yesterday when I read about the new consoles remake (and having in mind previous enhanced edition of Witcher), I wanted to post how nice it would be to see RT added to TW3. But than I thought, neah, what are the odds of that happening. And now, not only that, we get HDR on top, too. Not that I have a monitor that does HDR, but still...

Well, idk...they clearly said there would be visual improvements which will “include” ray tracing. This implies that other improvements not requiring RT cores will be present as well.
