Intel Teases Arc Graphics in YouTube Video, Reveals Almost Nothing

As much as we love teasers of new products, it's frustrating when said teasers give away zero information about the actual product and that is sadly what Intel's first Arc video manages to do. The only conclusion we can draw is that the in-game footage, at least in some games, was recorded at 1440p, as the video was uploaded in 1440p rather than 1080p.

The games being showcased are Riders Republic, Age of Empires IV, Back 4 Blood, Rift Breaker, Hitman III and Arcadegeddon. No frame rates are being displayed and only a few games have any comments to go with the footage. Rift Breaker for example, has a notification saying it's using AI-enhanced upscaling and Hitman III is supposed to be using "next-gen graphics with ray tracing" although no obvious ray tracing effects are noticed in the three second clip. The end of the video shows off a rendered PC and laptop, both with Intel ARC displayed on them, suggesting that Intel hasn't decided if it's Arc or ARC that its new graphics cards are going to be called. At least the Q1 2022 date gives us an idea on when some more information should be revealed.

If Intel says it is releasing a graphics card, it says.

I was totally unaware that an entire quarter is a date.

That's Intel telling us that they'll tell us more about something, at some point in time in around a 3 month timespan. That's not confidence inspiring. Next we hear is that their first quarter starts in July.

They deserve the jokes but this time might finally be it, it's supposed to be announced for laptops at CES and shortly after (if not also at CES) for the desktop. They're running a scavanger hunt giving 300 away (deep pockets!) it would be very weird at the end if no one receives anything :D

Chrispy_Another piece of Intel dGPU news that just reminds me they were showcasing their dGPU running Destiny 2 at CES in January 2018 for imminent launch to compete against the Geforce 1050Ti and 1060.

They've somehow cocked up so badly that we're still waiting for that imminent launch three years later.
You mean CES 2020? DG1 which was just the TGL IGP in card form/Xe MAX on laptops which launched at the end of 2020 (though both OEM only).

Caring1I like the rendered case with the HUD on the side glass panel.
Neat idea.
i was thinking the same when I saw the image. The case looks astonishing and clean. I am already thinking of making one but that temp display HUD which is a see through panel is a different story. Ofcorse it can be done using an lcd panel but the cae lighting would end up to be white. I am thinking if we can surpase that somehow. Already going through a tough mod project but i guess i can give this one a shot.
