EVGA Announces the Z690 DARK KINGPIN Motherboard

Introducing the EVGA Z690 DARK K|NGP|N - The Motherboard Designed by and Used by Professional Overclockers. EVGA DARK motherboards blaze the trail for other boards to follow, and the Z690 DARK K|NGP|N is no exception. The ability to destroy world records is insignificant next to the power of a 21-phase VRM and a 10-layer PCB - capable of driving the most powerful 12th Gen Intel Core processors. With support for 64 GB of DDR5 memory at up to 6600 MHz+(OC), PCIe Gen5, and PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSDs, a new DARK age of overclocking will rise as quickly as new hardware becomes available. The Z690 DARK K|NGP|N is today's choice for the future of overclocking and gaming.

Unless you're into extreme OC this makes no sense.

I'd buy a motherboard with that orientation and ram config but never for such an insane price.

They made a mistake on the pic though. No. 3 is PCIe Gen 5 x16 and not 3x M2 slots. Also why have ARGB headers on this?

Curious, how many world records does the Dark KP hold? Compared to the Aqua OC, Tachyon, and Apex?

It seems to be inline with their past Dark Kingpin MB, so I don't see a problem.

Even for extreme OC it makes no sense. EVGA's bios team is pitifully small and unfortunately are not competitive. EVGA motherboards have not been top tier since Shamino left back in 2010.

If you are a dumbass, then yes, an 830$ motherboard is today's choice for YOU. Holy fucking hell why are MAINSTREAM boards getting this expensive!???!?
CutechriWhat the heck are those big fat capacitors in the bottom left?
Likely for improved audio quality.

Apex has held records, same with Gene/Impact (depends on the generation and type of OC), a lot of the records aren't set on EVGA boards.

Saw the No. 3, 3x M.2 slot labelling error as well. How can anyone trust a company that CAN'T EVEN LABEL A PICTURE of a $800+ motherboard CORRECTLY to actually make a $800+ motherboard?
