That being said I spent a good amount of time working through codecs and apps like shark007 to get everything setup I like it.
Streaming from my PC to our other TVs is still a little glitchy through cyberlink sometimes, but anything local over HDMI is flawless.

I for one use DVD for hard backup on ceramic disks, and only for the most valuable personal things. Work related stuff is tape (still). So, what DVD?Uhm, the same MPC-HC not in development since 2017?
I've never been bothered enough to look at the other 2 or 3 programs that came with it....one appeared to be some kind of picture and/or video editing software. I'm not even sure what the other 1 or 2 programs do. Oh well. Good to see they're still active as a company.

"Due to a lack of active developers, the player is currently in maintenance mode. This means that there are no direct plans for adding any big new features. Development is currently limited to small bug fixes and updates."
The project is still going, just not like before. Mostly focusing on maintenance and fixes.
MPC-Black Edition (MPC-BE) is the actual project that tries to compete with other video players like Potplayer and VLC. Still, I couldn't find a video player that can play all the videos I have like PotPlayer and VLC (The dev of Potplayer is one of KMplayer devs which got ridden by bloat and sometimes malware). PotPlayer is my main media player because I need the 1,5x zoom function while VLC doesn't have. And I find it able to play even rare audio files :eek:. Anything I throw at PotPlayer from video or audio plays well except the new google video format VP9 which then I use VLC for.

QMPlay2 is a video and audio player. It can play all formats supported by FFmpeg, libmodplug (including J2B and SFX). It also supports Audio CD, raw files, Rayman 2 music and chiptunes. It contains YouTube and MyFreeMP3 browser.

Now please explain how any of what I've said is "deeply flawed".
Though, even at full quality it still lacks the typical HDR you get on UHD Blu-Ray, which is a nice bonus considering one to have a half-fancy VA panel TV that boasts decent HDR like the Sony I have here...
however, throwing all that aside... it's all CD media and horribly overpriced at that...
imo, you're not worth the bandwidth to pirate anymore. just stick w/power director.
