Gigabyte Offers 5-Year Extended Warranty For New X670 Motherboards in North America
With the launch of AMD AM5 X670 motherboards, GIGABYTE, the world's leading computer brand, announces today that all customers in North America region purchasing new GIGABYTE and AORUS X670 motherboards will receive an automatic extended warranty. Expanding on the leading 3-year warranty, customers will receive an upgrade of an additional 2 years warranty for a total of 5 years.

which is amazing. I see modern motherboards and just wonder why they are so expensive. Yes, PCIe 4.0/5.0, but other than that? Modern motherboards look so empty and simple, no wonder manufacturers are covering them with pieces of plastic for ...aesthetic reasons.
I wonder, where would Apple, NVIDIA, etc. be now if they tried to use that weak analogy too?! :roll:
There are dozens of examples about Nvidia and Apple business tactics. There are dozens of examples about any company that is in the market for 20 years or more.
I presume you mean you would like to see boards with more PCIe slots over M.2 slots, rather than more PCIe lanes?
Then again, their drives where costing much more than the competition, so maybe they where responding so fast, because you had already payed for a second optical drive?
Using Apple as an example, is not really a strong argument. And that's my final reply here.

The only reason I'm using an ASRock motherboard was because everything else was sold out (go figure, one week before Christmas) when I could finally build my socket AM4 system and it's a mostly respectable motherboard.
