Solidigm Introduces the P44 Pro - the World's Premier Enthusiast Solid-State Drive (SSD)

Solidigm has introduced the P44 Pro solid-state storage drive (SSD), a high-performance client SSD for today's most demanding workloads. With blazing-fast speed and excellent power efficiency, the P44 Pro is the world's premier SSD for enthusiasts. The P44 Pro delivers spectacular PCIe Generation 4.0 performance, with up to 7,000 MB/s sequential read speeds. It provides a superb combination of speed and efficiency in Solidigm testing, meeting or exceeding published performance specifications while drawing just 5.3 W. The P44 Pro is available in 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB capacities.

"Our flagship client SSD, the P44 Pro, is built with our cutting-edge NAND technology. Combined with our powerful software, it delivers the high performance users require in demanding applications. The P44 Pro is the most powerful client SSD Solidigm has launched to date and the premier enthusiast SSD on the market," said Sanjay Talreja, General Manager, Client Storage Group. "This drive delivers quick launch and load, and the fast save desired by gaming enthusiasts and content creators. With excellent power efficiency, the P44 Pro minimizes throttling that can come from excessive power and heat - resulting in consistent peak performance."
[Editor's note: Our in-depth review of the Solidigm Introduces the P44 Pro is now live]

Solidigm Synergy software works with the P44 Pro to optimize performance and "close the gap" between the host and storage device. The software enables users to view drive health reports and trigger useful manual functions. The software is free and available to download at https://www.solidigm.com/us/en/products/client/synergy.html

"MAINGEAR's award-winning gaming desktops depend on fast storage to offer the best performance possible," said Wallace Santos, MAINGEAR CEO and Founder. "Solidigm has taken that performance to the next level with the launch of the P44 Pro. Boasting the incredible speed and reliability required to deliver an amazing gaming experience, Solidigm SSDs are the first choice for our pre-configured desktops. MAINGEAR is proud to partner with a company with a proven track record in engineering world-class storage solutions, and we are excited to offer Solidigm SSDs across all of our products."

I hope they'll be available in Europe. Hynix P31 Gold was listed on Amazon.de but stated "Item cannot be delivered to your adress (CZ)". P41 Platinum is available on Amazon.com but not on Amazon.de.

This is not a Hynix drive, this is from Solidigm, a different company.
Solidigm SSDs are available in Europe.
This is the previous model.

yep, just read the review and if it's a "garbage" then it's a top dog "garbage" that rank up among the best NVMe SSD available... just the price is a little ... off putting but the performances make it worth it for those who can afford it ...

i go to my corner and cry over my 1tb NVMe SSD wishlist ... i have a XPG Gamix S11 Pro 512gb to replace

Again, this is Soldigm, not Hynix.
That said, yes, it's all Hynix branded chips on the drive now, rather than Intel as it was up until this point.

and Intel SSD were quite reliable as far as i have seen until today ... i doubt Hynix acquisition will change that ...( if the chips are still the same but with Hynix branding )

Given most SK SSDs shipped with a 5-year warranty, seems foolish to be sitting on a 'stack' of dead drives that you should be doing an RMA on, no?

well ... i could understand him ... i had a stack of Razer product dead as doornails ... i did some RMA but what can you do when your are on a RMA from a previous RMA of a RMA ...
(yeah i know ... that is quite the apple to banana comparison i do here... but the user experience leading to the behaviour against the brand is the same. )
that being said ... Razer is still not bought by another brand... so... still garbage imoho (in my own honest opinion)

for instance i saw some good brand turning garbage after acquisition ... i.e.: Saitek when acquired by Madcatz (luckily Logitech took Saitek products from Madcatz paws ... and between my previous Saitek/Madcatz Rhino X56 and the Saitek/Logitech Rhino X56 it's almost night and day, lets say that it's almost back to the original Saitek Rhino X56 )

doesn't matter in a market this saturated I have lots of room to brand garbage ... well garbage
the sliding scale is quite long
and its a pattern every 256GB SK hynix drive I have pulled out of a oem has died early and the same way to many bad cells
