NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4090 Updated With AD102-301 GPU

There have already been rumors that NVIDIA plans to introduce new GPU variants to some of its RTX 40 series graphics cards, namely the RTX 4070 and the RTX 4080, but now, a fresh RTX 4090 Founders Edition has been spotted with an updated AD102-301 GPU. According to the previous reports, an updated GPU was needed in order to enable a new voltage comparator circuit on the board. The same reports suggested that it could result in cheaper boards, lower build cost, and thus a lower price, but so far, there are no significant price changes for the RTX 40 series.

While there were no reports that the GeForce RTX 4090 will be on the update path, an updated GeForce RTX 4090 has been shipped to Redditor "cavityserach123." The card in question keeps the same Device PCI ID in GPU-Z, but the Sub ID has been changed, suggesting that it won't be possible to flash it with the BIOS of the previous AD102-300 based RTX 4090.
It also appears that the maximum voltage has been lowered from 1.1 V, down to 1.07 V. Of course, this could be limited to Founders Edition cards, which will probably be confirmed at a later date once more of the AD102-301 based RTX 4090 graphics cards show up.
It is left to be seen if the new GPU variant brings any other significant changes, so hopefully, a decent review with the updated AD102-301 GPU will show up soon.

Trying to bring the price down because they've fundamentally misjudged the market? Its understandable because the market was totally different when 40xx was designed.

So long as NVIDIA keeps RTX 4090 GPU chips low in supply prices will not vary.

Less than 1% of users are on steam with the 4090.

I despise Nvidia. If you need to buy from that company BUY USED. So you don't give them any money at all.

I have stated in the past that I am a very wealthy man that does business here in Silicon Valley. I deal/dealt with CEO's like THE LEATHER JACKET GUY/GIRL. Some times a daily entertainment bill will cost what an average people makes in one week. This is the world of the upper management in Silicon Valley. The price of entry is not cheap. This is why my rumors are pretty spot on. I had to pay the price of entry to get what is happening in Silicon Valley. AND NO you will never find out who they are as well. :)

The amount shown is more than the Average American makes in one year. I keep it when I need it make a "Right Now" payment/bids on equipment/property that I want "Right Now".

What I am stating that I became incredibly wealthy by not buying into gimmicks and instead invested into the Solid Foundations. Like income investment properties Treasuries and "I" Bonds, plus all of the tried and true method of laying that solid foundation of financial wealth.

But the difference with many is that as stated before I do have a solid tech background and know many many different aspects of different tech sectors.

Which is why if you have a 6000 series and under or a 3000 series or under you will be fine for several years.
Because the Gaming industry will insure that will happen because they really need people to play their games.

If I felt that the 4090/4080 were a good enough buy, I would pick one up. But I know they are over inflated for what they do.

And even those who have the money to spend are with the millions that are balking on buying the current generation of video cards.

I still have not upgraded my video card yet because right now current prices are still too high for what you get.

The cost for that 4090 will be enough to invest on going back to what I loved. As I power level in saying that before I die I'll create something that I want to go back to.

Here is something that I created 30+ years ago, but this time around I'm already finishing up the process of choosing my content provider for this venture.

So yes. I'll take that $2000 dollars (for a video card) and instead spend it on something more important to me now at this time of life.

Creating Visual content in the foreseeable future.

Agree. This stuff is developed 2-3 years out. The next GPUs are already done and being validated.

This was probably already completed as a alternative, finalized and never released.

At this point I think people would rather see a 4090 Ti or an RTX TITAN Ada

Thats a strange way of looking at Nvidia releasing the 4090 series, I know it's controversial but the 4090 is $100 more than the 3090 with twice the output. This GPU isnt for Bitcoining it's for putting out a good 4K gaming performance. I myself am playing at 4K 120hz using OLED, and its an experience Ive never been able to imagine with my 3090s that I sold(Strix and FTW3). And people we're SLIing 3090s other than as a workstation or benchmarks, for what no one cares or that 3090 Ti was $2200-$2500+ at Microcenter! I dont think you can undestand a product you have no use for. If your not using this for 4K(other monitor setups) or VR then yes it's not for you. But as you can see the market now has alot better of a 4K monitor selection, and OLED LGs are on sale. Alot more people are understanding the importance of a good monitor/audio setup is just as important as your rig.

Only thing I think that's sort of shady about Nvidia releasing this "301" die that doesnt accept "300" Vbios. Alot of people seem to be NVflashing to get full 600w, I belive in getting a GPU that does the full 600w that the FE puts out, better cooling always helps.
