Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gets an Official Story Trailer

Electronic Arts has released the official story trailer for its upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor game, that is scheduled to launch on April 28th. The new trailer not only shows the story behind the new Star Wars game but also has some in-game parts.

Developed by Respawn Entertainment in cooperation with Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a third-person, action-adventure game, set five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and puts the player again in the role of Cal Kestis, who has now grown into a powerful Jedi Knight.
According to EA, players have to look forward to the same cinematic combat system from Jedi Fallen Order, with additional Force abilities and new lightsaber fighting styles. It will also include new planets as well as familiar frontiers with unique biomes, challenges, and enemies.

Earlier, EA has unveiled PC system requirements for the game, with Intel's Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 as recommended CPUs, together with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, as the recommended graphics card. The rest include 16 GB of RAM, 130 GB of storage space, and Windows 10 64-bit OS. You can check out the rest of the PC requirements below.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC on April 28th, 2023.

I wanted a remake of Kotor 1 and 2, hoping for a third title in the franchise would be too much...

At this rate. Us that want a remake of those games, we have more chances of waiting until AI cand write games, and pay/ask an AI to make such a remake rather than someone doing it. And i think it has something to do with the game's licenes and well ... money. Like it dose for the NFS Undergound series.

I haven't even gotten around to playing the first Jedi game yet on account of my main M.2 SSD being close to full (it's only 500GB) so I'll probably wait for this new one to go on sale before picking it up (screw paying $70 for a game - $60 was bad enough)

Looking at the character's models, etc. in Survivor makes me appreciate The Callisto Protocol industry-leading graphics, lighting, etc.

industry leading, industry leading, to me the amount of visually pushing games is lacking badly, Horizon is one of the very few, Callisto Protocol just looked generic and was extremely limited hallway level design, so visuals did not really impress.

Aren't they already remaking Kotor?

There are many things to criticize Calisto Protocol over. "Visuals" is not one of them.

No, please god no! We dont need to further burn the legacy of what was the greatest generation of games. We dont need a modern bastardized remake of the originals with the content neutered to pass "modern" audiences.

KOTOR 1 was arguably approaching peak bioware, and kotor 2 with the sith mod is a fantastic obsidian classic. Let's just leave them at that.

Eh, there's been little to no news about it. Once they showed off their new writer; a Kathleen Kennedy acolyte who hated star wars and it's traditional fans, the backlash was enormous and the project was either put on hiatus or silently shelved. Given how many projects have been canned, it's likely buried forever int he dark pits of unfinished code, and thats a Good Thing (tm)

This looks much better than the first game, addressing a ton of issues. Too bad it's still souls like though.

I also didnt play it, mostly because by the time it came out, between the garbage fire that was TLJ and the EA battlefront fiasco I wasnt willing to touch anything they made.

I've heard its good, and from what I've seen on youtube it looks decent visually. Not sure about the gameplay, I'm nota huge fan of the God of War adventure style. Maybe I'll pick it up on sale one day.

It has challenging melee combat, but it isn't a souls like game. There are difficulty settings, and at normal it isn't that hard except for bosses. The more souls like experience is on the hardest difficulties.

I detest Elden Ring and games like it, but Jedi Fallen Order was awesome.

If you've got a powerful new PC, I'd play Jedi Fallen Order first. It's a massive game with a TON of content. When you are on your 5th planet or whatever you'll be surprised at how much content the game has.

Well dont get me wrong, it looks fine, but thats all, fine, super high quality textures and lighting etc is just not that impressive when all you are doing is walking through super closed off hallways.

I really enjoyed the original. This sequel will be purchased but probably later this year. Still quite a backlog to play, there are a few other great games releasing soon, and I always wait months until bugs are ironed out. LOL I'm just about to finish RE3 remake, then I'm jumping onto Horizon Zero Dawn. Love how these older games run so well on the 3080ti.
