MSI Releases GeForce RTX 3060 Ti SUPER 3X with SUPRIM Cooler
MSI released the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti SUPER 3X graphics card. This is basically the company using up left over inventory of its TriFrozr SUPRIM cooling solutions with an SKU that's likely to sell in higher volumes. Underneath the cooler is a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti "Ampere" GPU with GDDR6X memory type, instead of the GDDR6 that's standard to the RTX 3060 Ti. The board design of the SUPER 3X is identical to that of the MSI RTX 3070 SUPRIM, which means the company is reusing both the cooler and PCB to create this product. The backplate of the card even features leftover SUPRIM branding.
The MSI RTX 3060 Ti SUPER 3X offers identical clock speeds to the company's RTX 3060 Ti G6X Gaming X Trio graphics card, with 1845 MHz boost frequencies, compared to 1665 MHz reference. The GDDR6X memory ticks at 19 Gbps, which over the 256-bit memory interface yields an impressive 608 GB/s memory bandwidth that's on par with the RTX 3070 Ti. From the looks of it, the MSI RTX 3060 Ti SUPER 3X is a China-exclusive product.

I'm not surprised that they are stuck with excess chips. During the mining boom these GPUs were going for ridiculously high prices.
YA know... I've just done my quarterlies. My total build that has made me a great deal of money and costs a lot less than one Ngreedia 4090.
I'm so damned happy with my 5700 reference video card that got ragged on by the influencers... That also Ragged on my MSI X570 A-pro motherboard. That also Ragged on my RoseWill 850 Watt Gold PSU. And so on. And my rig in on 16 to 20 hours a day 7 days a week for over 40 months now and not one failure, period.
Besides making serious money with it I was also making videos/ illustration work and playing video games. While playing Overwatch, I was getting 180 fps with a 32 inch monitor @ 165hz @ high settings.
So yes I don't buy a lot of things coming from the mouth pieces of anyone trying to sell me something that I have had a 34+ year career in dealing with hardware/IT. Been there, done that, grabbed the golden ring and won the lottery of life by knowing what works and working hard to get my results.
It comes down to the philosophy of knowing what component works well together. Not because what the influencer's say because they are their to sell you Sh!t on a shingle and smile while they do that.
It's by doing all of the research that you possibly can before delving into a project.
Do you think I'm looking at that card when I can pick up a RX 6800 and future proof my gaming experience for a few more years with 16GB of Memory? Heh... but I know the Gerbils will.
