This Week in Gaming (Week 19)

As we enter the second week of May, we have a rather eclectic range of games for you, with no clear headline title of this upcoming week's releases. That said, we have dungeons, hype trains, occupations and all kinds of crazy things to look forward to in the coming week.

Darkest Dungeon II / Monday 8 May
Darkest Dungeon II is a roguelike road trip of the damned. Form a party, equip your stagecoach, and set off across the decaying landscape on a last gasp quest to avert the apocalypse. The greatest dangers you face, however, may come from within...
Voidtrain / Tuesday 9 May
Become a crew member of an Interdimensional Express Train! Discover a new world full of mysterious creatures, enemies and places. Upgrade and customize your train, gather new materials and build better weapons. Play solo or online сo-op with up to 4 people.
Occupy Mars: The Game / Wednesday 10 May
Survive and colonize Mars in a highly technical, open-world sandbox game. Build and upgrade your base, discover new regions, conduct mining operations, retrieve water, generate oxygen, grow crops, and fix broken parts.
Mechabellum / Thursday 11 May
Mechabellum is an epic auto-battler taking place on the newly colonized planet of Far-Away. You're the Commander of an army of mechs fighting it out in massive PvP battles. Customize and level up your units, strategically place them on the battlefield and watch them destroy your enemies.
Drift/ Friday 12 May
You were deep in uncharted space on a research mission. Disaster struck. Together with your friends, explore a mysterious asteroid field and mine whatever resources possible to build what you need to survive.

It seems like it in this case at least. Watched a couple of videos of the game that were posted in the last 3-4 days saying it's now ready for launch and the game has changed massively compared to what was released on Epic games store.

I loved darkest dungeon 1, hope the 2 is as good as the first one.

I did too — sort of. Eventually it felt like putting time in at work as a horror Human Resource manager, getting labor at no cost and then discarding them when you’ve gotten everything out of them (since there’s only so many healing/curing slots regardless of how much other resources are amassed). For all that effort, I now just put in more hours IRL instead.

I'll be looking out for Voidtrain as I played the demo and it was interesting.

Voidtrain was one game i had vaguely been following since i've discovered it long ago due to coop, but iirc the early reviews were not good.
Occupy Mars: The Game looks interesting-ish for a friend more than for me that's super into crafting/survival games like space engineers/factorio and the like, unless it's vastly more simplified than those it's not for me.
Mechabellum is a whiff due to being PvP, the concept would've made an amazing coop PVE tower defense game, being pvp ruined it.

Ah i didn't read this post before posting mine, it adds up to what i saw in early access not being good, letsee how it goes for release
