Keep believing. Putting it on a spec sheet doesn't make it so though.
If they did achieve a real 1ms GTG VA, there's probably enough Ghosting to show Caspar the friendly one on your screen.
Also wtaf? Why are these panels even used in the same series? The gap between 2500:1 and 4000:1 is huge, and, fun fact, the DisplayHDR version that is certified 400 nits, has a static contrast that is horrible by VA standards. 3000:1 is honestly bog standard, more being better. So you can get a non certified HDR 'ready' (whatever the fck that means given they show no HDR brightness rating right underneath) of the same diagonal that is arguably better in static contrast, which is the one unique selling point for VA, while the CQRXF is loaded with bullshit features, 240hz and a shitty panel. Nice.
This reeks strongly of 'we found some bottom barrel VA panels, smashed together some spec table and call it a product'. There is no rhyme or reason to these four monitors relative to each other, apart from the fake 1ms.
Only one thing applies here: not even with a ten foot pole.
VA is fine if you want good blacks and don;t mind a bit of blur, VA is much better than it used to be.
And no, they won't be 1ms, in any case. But they might be tolerable/decent (unlike most VAs) and have better contrast than a TN or IPS.
Not sure if they're which panels they're actually using, but the fact that the last comment in the linked forum thread mentions my main monitor exhibiting the issue would give me pause before purchasing another MSI VA panel. It's unfortunate really since I do find myself using my computer in the dark often, so the contrast ratio is nice. But the IPS panels I've seen do look quite nice and I wouldn't mind giving one of those a try

I'm sold, looks at the bad quality lately of Samsung monitors, aside from that I only see the Odyssey G7 (240hz) as an upgrade.. for a better VA panel.
Altho HDR is dogshit anyway, I already have a 4K tv for that.
I would want to see review of these "rapid" VA though, hopefully cautious.
