Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer Released

It's finally here! Rockstar Games just posted the first trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI, and it's exactly how we imagined—a sprawling reimagining of Vice City, the game that made the Grand Theft Auto franchise a pop-culture icon. As was expected for a while, GTA VI brings out big-budget, next-generation production design for the wonderous stories and missions it will weave. Rockstar also announced that GTA VI is releasing no sooner than 2025, without giving out whether it comes to consoles first, like GTA V.
Watch the trailer after the break.

2025 ... dayum, I wonder what the performance is like on current hardware... and if consoles will have 60fps modes... if not, yikes for how it'll run on PC.

So wild to have 12 years in-between releases, there is no way it will live up to expectations.

Yes finally its official. Have waited like 10 years for this. But first in 2025. Auch, thats still quite a long wait.

It can mean gta 6 is still like 2-3 years away for me to play it. Meaning if rockstar games stay true to there previously releases. It will come to consoles first and then 6-12 month later to pc. So are you like me a gta fan and only game on pc. Dont exspect to touch it before at least 2 years in the future :banghead:

Yey!!! Female character is a bit annoying, but awesome graphics. Real-life textures. Best show in town.

There don't seem to be any major advances, I hope that on the mechanics side they bring something interesting and that helps with immersion, the cities of GTA are so empty (in the sense of interactive content.)

I was never a big fan of the Franchise, But I will follow it closely.

In retail 128GB flash drives cost below $25(there are 512GB SSDs for under $35 in retail) these days so it shouldnt be a problem to sell physical copies of installer to users who want to purchase it. I hate delivery through internet(remastered GTA games provided one reason why to avoid it like a plague).

Well, I think there are BR disks with about 128gb or more storage. So I can see them going that route since, you know, it uses disks.

I prevent my ps5 from accessing internet so I hope no basic info on disk and rest of the game is downloaded from internet.

WHAT 2025 , And that's late November early December for holidays so end of 2025 so our RTX 3080 would be like a 1080 now when released so even a 4080 will be old. so you will need RTX 5080 or maybe if the game is delayed RTX 6080

Sick, finally a female playable character. Bony & Clyde vibes in the last shot of the trailer. Love it!

Sounds like R* isn't satisfied w current console performance.
XBX or PS5 probably need 30FPS to look decent at 4K (even upscaled), and full-on potato mode for 60FPS.

Also everyone does realize GTA is absolutely loaded with social/cultural satire right?

They're pointing a fun-house mirror toward the locale and time period in which each game takes place.
It's right up there with The Simpsons and South Park, just a different medium.

Lets hope so, I keep my main PC disconnected from internet and certainly hope that PC version also doesnt need stupidity of always connected or internet needed to download. Else it will be cracked version FTW post paying for the game.

Add another year for a PC release and we're looking at best summer 2026, that's if they do what they've done the last two titles they've released. We'll be talking about RTX 6000 rumors when we see a PC trailer eventually.

Game looks absolutely great. I also imagine this is a current gen console trailer, not PC footage.

It was kinda obvious it was 2025 anyways once they announced the trailer date.

I can’t help to be sorta… underwhelmed? It’s a new GTA, it should be a big deal and all I can muster is just “eh”. Sure looks like a GTA game. The campaign will probably be an enjoyable romp and the multiplayer will inevitably be a heavily monetized affair, potentially with heavy cheating problem. Going back to Vice City is nice, at least, although it won’t be the same without that 80s atmosphere. Modern America is not the most exciting of settings.

Is it just me or all women in this trailer look ugly? There should be some hot latino and east asian girls, instead we have this...

December 2025 for consoles, december 2026 for PC. I look forward playing it once I get it on a sale in 2029... or maybe not because:
Rockstar Games wants to stop punching down in Grand Theft Auto 6
We're one day closer to the eventual release of Grand Theft Auto 6 and it looks like Rockstar Games' next open-world will be much more tolerant than the last
Nevermind, if they remove what makes GTA funny then what's the point of playing it? Stereotypes of Italians in Vice City, making fun of blacks in San Andreas, shitting on Slavs in GTA IV... it was already in huge decline in GTA V which made it significantly 'family friendly', if they wash it down completely then what can I laugh at anymore? Even gameplay is in decline, they reached peak in San Andreas in overall gameplay and in GTA IV in driving, GTA V was just worse in every aspect, so I doubt VI will fix it.

Thank god the trailer is out. Now we can all ignore this terrible game for another 3 years until it comes out on PC. Good riddance ;)

Getting tired all the people prostrating themselves about it.
