Seasonic Unveils Cherry Blossom-Themed "Vertex Sakura" 1000 W Power Supply

PC power supply manufacturer Seasonic has introduced a new limited-edition variant of its Vertex 1000 W 80+ Gold certified modular power supply featuring an eye-catching design inspired by cherry blossoms. Dubbed the "Vertex Sakura," this specially-themed PSU sports a clean white color scheme with pink Sakura flower graphics and a unique textured paint finish. The Vertex Sakura caters specifically to PC enthusiasts and case modders in Japan who want to build a themed rig coordinated around the colors and aesthetic of traditional Japanese cherry blossoms. It offers the same fully modular cabling as the standard Vertex 1000 W model, allowing builders flexibility in cable management.

The PSU also meets the latest ATX 3.0 specifications, including a 12VHPWR connector to support next-generation high-wattage GPUs. Seasonic showcased the Vertex Sakura 1000 W unit at 30,000 yen (around $200 USD) in Japan, where retailers recommend interested buyers preorder as soon as possible due to limited availability. Specific regional launch details outside of Japan are still forthcoming. But the Vertex Sakura's blend of technical prowess and stunning cherry blossom visual flair will likely attract global attention from PC builders looking to add an extra touch of style to their high-end systems.

That's a sweet looking power supply. I actually really want this, but have a Prime Titanium series currently so this would be a downgrade for me.

Are they really still pushing the flawed 12VHPWR plug instead of the corrected 12V-2x6 plug? Not exactly instilling any confidence.

Though, would you swap to the Prime Titanium with same colourscheme as this one? :D

Any open-air bench-like chassis. There a many people using theese as main PC "case".

In contemporary Japanese culture, says Nemitz, pink is perceived as a masculine and mournful color that represents “young warriors who fall in battle while in the full bloom of life.”

This is the reason, why Subaru (Fuji industries) has pink on it's WRX STi line ;).

A correction would be either going back to the molex mini fit or moving forward with something else. Slight changes to the micro fit won't change the overarching problems of going to a smaller connector while quadrupling the power

Heck yeah I would totally rock this PSU. Not only is it a sweet unit, but it would be completely hidden in my Torrent.. and would match my Define R4

What a beauty just hope it won't cost an arm and a leg like Seasonic's higher end PSU's does because now I am temped instead og going with the full mesh version of the ASUS Prime AP201 I might go with the TG version so I can see it.

They are just using common consumer jargon. Anything being manufactured now is 12V 2x6.
user556Way more than slight. The contacts inside the plug are clearly a different product - www.techpowerup.com/314066/the-12v-2x6-connectors-appear-to-handle-full-load-while-partially-inserted
And newsflash to the non-engineers here, it has fixed the issue in the tests so far.

It's different, I like it. Plus it saves people money on buy custom sleeved cables to match a pink+white build.

Aww, ain't that cute... a Seasonic PSU for little girls and their heavy duty power hungry PCs - used for playing Roblox and running TikTok at the same time. Also for female streamers - who act like a 5 year old but dress like strippers...

True. Like the entire 16pin connector has the same area as ATX 8 pin that is restricted to only 150W. While each contact is much thicker than one from 12VHPWR. I'm sure that even for a person far from engineering, it wouldn't add up. Not only from electric standpoint, but as for sturdiness as well. Now this flimsy tiny connector supposed to push 600W.
At same time, the intel's own 10 pin 12VO main power connector is designed for power of only 216 to 288W (each pin provides from 6-8A). And that is also the same micro-fit, as usual 8pin one. Where is the logic? If this intel's 12VHPWR/12V-2x6 connector so much reliable, why don't they use it in their Arc cards as well?

Eh, I'd buy it, just to add a splash of color to a white build and shift it towards a light, Japanese-themed build with Sakura Blossom keycaps on an otherwise white keyboard.

It looks fine. Not everything has to be flat black, flat white, or gamer RGB.

I see, so you're saying... the 5 year olds looking for 1000W PSUs and the OnlyFans Streamers (or Twhich alike - famous/infamous for sexualized content) - would find my previous post engagingly inaccurate?! :wtf: Aint's that the most common modern age irony... to have access to the most massive library of information (in human history - all of it combined), yet - struggling to grasp the meaning of the most basic words in the most popular language (or even worst... reinventing the meaning of words - giving them a personal definition - then launch a personal attack on someone with that private understanding). Here...

misogynistic = strongly prejudiced against women

prejudice = preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience

Let's see: the line about 5 year olds is a half-backed joke - as in - yes, there are quite a lot of 5 year old girls - who play Roblox and use TikTok at same time - which might find the design/appearance of the Sakura PSU highly appealing - tho, obviously they don't need a 1000W beast.

As for the line related to "SPECIFIC" female streamers - as the description goes: who act like a 5 year old but dress like strippers... + the pictures (within the limits of allowed content - it's why i used the forum's own integrated .gif searching feature - instead of adding more revealing content), that's common knowledge by now - for almost every millennial using the internet (even some boomers), not to mention the younger generations.

That being said and as goes to prove... you're actually the one guilty of prejudice, against me. I'm deeply hurt. You remind me of those individuals at stand-up comedy show - which interrupt the stand-up comedians cause they can't deal with his humor. Facts based/inspired human has its place in this world. We can't all be serious all the time. Cause on a serious note, yes - was well aware of the actual meaning behind the design of this PSU. The name alone (Sakura) was self-explanatory - not to mention the color and picture on the PSU - aka - cherry blossom tree (or Sakura - a Japanese connotation).

It's usually said that humour is relative but i'm not sure it's that relative, of course the theme was pretty obvious from the name, what wasn't was a failed attempt at humour based on miso... sorry prejudice against how some women choose to present themselves to the world. Or maybe it was since it's the internet and there always needs to be a person to make the stupid pink "girly" connection like if we weren't in the 21st century.
