New Bridge Chip to Bring GeForce 8 Series to AGP
NVIDIA is scheduled to launch an updated bridge chip that will allow their latest and upcoming GPUs to support AGP. Unlike their previous BR02 chip, their new A05 is compatible with the current GeForce 8600 (G86) and 8400 (G84) GPUs as well as the upcoming G92 and G98.

I realize that they do sell new AGP boards, but not many if memmory serves.
It all seems rather odd to me.
Current gaming rig has 6800 Ultra which could be put in my older rig which is only lacking a decent vid card. Now I'd have the new GPU I want w/o having to upgrade to a new PC + extra gaming PC! Saves $ in the end even if it may be a lil more $ than PCI-E
What would be the bottleneck for me if I did get say an 8800?

Believe it or not, I value free speech (or writing), regardless of the vulgarity involved.
I will not ask the moderators to get involved for this very reason.
However, I want to treat you, [I.R.A]_FBi, with the respect you deserve as nothing more than a fellow human being.
So I guess I am a stupid f**king idiot to expect any respect from you, right?
kthxbye
It doesn't mean that companies should give the finger to people who don't need the extra bandwith or SLI etc... :)

i found with these cards (x1950xt, 256mb) there was little difference in price, retailers charging too high a premium probably backfired
