not at all surprising considering the 3870/2950 is supposed to beat the 2900xt, so it doesn't suprise me that the 8800gt does.

I can't wait till they release a 240 dollar card that beats its 650 dollar GTX brother now thats smart marketing. or could the super secret driver release that makes the GTS and GTX 35% faster be true?????

laszlolol... woteva. I dont see an AMD killer here
My personal opinion is that Nvidia has a better approach of the unified arch. than AMD;the 2900 was released so late because of this;so many shaders and something is wrong;we have good power consumption,512 bit interface (why? 256 or 384 is plenty and Nvidia has test this i'm sure) and know results;i hope they don't make the same mistake like Intel with pentium-netburst because if they don't change something in the architecture they will be below the green from now on.

My oc'd 8800GTS 320mb on a quadcore pulled 12408

Jesus - 14000+!!!! on a GT model?????????!!!!!!!!!! (I really feel for the GTX owners!!)

My oc'd 8800GTS 320mb on a quadcore pulled 12408...
Gonna tweak it further tonight... I just bought my GTS, aint gonna let this new kid on the block kick me down...

nVidia, try to keep buyers happy! Though I think its a good thing that cards with this kind of performance being affordable, I dont think that they should be cheaper than their more expensive brethrin...

its like Ferrari coming out with a 60,000USD ferrari comparable to one of their 200,000USD models....

anyway, heres my 3dmark06 :rockout:
