That $ price (if correct) is truly amazing.

@seany... RIP off UK? Yes, i agree. But be careful with importing from US. A big heavy item like this will cost you about $100, maybe more, to ship. Plus you will have import duties to pay. You will end up paying AT LEAST $100 for the tax, maybe more.

And THEN YOU WONT have any local warranty. If there is a problem, you'll have to ship it back. Can you imagine the headache?

The worse is yet to come: The plugs and power brick for 110v in US may not have the flexibility to operate on UK 240volts.

So, IMO, wait until after Xmas, and the price of local purchase will be more in line with what you want to pay.

Why not just spend the 300 GBP and get the DELL 24" that's a PVA monitor?

That's a ridiculous price for a 24" TN.

It's $599AUD over here (roughly $651USD). Not a bad price but I would rather get the BenQ FP241W or the Delll UltraSharp 2407WFP- HC.

Well Dell is known for its quality LCDs and the great warranty behind them.

There are other displays like this available from other manufacturers which also lack extra connections like component AV and extras like a card reader. Many do not need to use these screens for anything besides PCs. This makes them appealing for those, as it makes for a cheaper price. It is priced similar than the models from Samsung or HP.

cheers
