Trend Micro Develops Anti-Virus Software for PlayStation 3
Security vendor Trend Micro Inc. has launched software which aims to block malicious web pages dealing in sex, drugs, and violence. The company says that this software is the first of its kind for a gaming console and it would make PlayStation 3 users feel safer and more secure while browsing the Internet on their console. The anti-virus was released earlier this month as a PlayStation 3 upgrade and will be free until April.

So are they actually safer or just "feeling" safer.
this is interesting, lets see what happens..
But, as anyone could tell you - having one anti-malware program is kinda asking for trouble sooner or later. Having other software for weekly scanning is a good idea - one software might catch something that another won't. Once a week, I run PC-Cillin full scan, Windows Defender full scan, and Webroot Spy Sweeper full scan. Squeaky clean, man! :rockout:

No anti-malware software is going to be 100% current on every new definition out there - no matter how reputable the software is.
