GTA Delays Could Put Take-Two in Financial Trouble
It looks like the delays involved in developing GTA IV could be causing some financial trouble for publisher Take-Two interactive. Grand Theft Auto IV, which is the latest instalment in the company's most successful series of games, was originally scheduled to be released in October this year, however it has since been pushed back to next year to give Rockstar Games (the division of Take-Two responsible for developing GTA) enough time to finish it. At the start of the year, Take-Two had around $138.15 million in cash, which had fallen to $61.62 million by the end of July. However, last month the company increased its five-year revolving credit facility up from $100 million to $140 million, and given the rate it's been losing money it could soon find itself drawing upon that facility. As a result, GTA IV is being hinted at as a make-or-break game for Take-Two, so the company will be hoping for no more delays.

and a multi-player co-op/versus mode would be nice...
This is just not a crediible story for a successful and professionally managed company.
I don't know if you have watched the latest trailer but I think the graphical advance in the game is "0" at the moment. As if they used the GTA III engine, with little modifications...
I was hoping some stuff to burn out my 2900 XT.....lol..:toast:
There will be many many pre-orders over the world.
There are not going to loose any money unless. . . .
The game crashes, freezes and what not like 2K's Bioshock did or still does for the some of the 360's and many PCs by the sound of things at 2K forum.
Except mine.
Coming straight off from the purely awesome San Andreas there will be no difficulty in selling GTA4 at all. I mean aside from an ass hat lawyer who doesn't like video game porn or the ability to kill crack dealers, Take Two has nothing to be worried about. Everything I have watched and looked at for GTAIV so far is making me more hyped for its release then I was for San Andreas. I actually walked out of my TAFE apprenticeship class to go and buy my hard cover version of San Andreas the day it came out. I was late to class that day because when I arrived in Sydney I ran down to the games store to see if they had stock yet and they said it wouldn't be there for a few hours. So I asked the guy to call me when it came in, he called me in class, I then ran out of class to go get my copy. It cost me $100 which was 1/4th of my pay for the week, and it got me in trouble with my boss.... but totally worth it. I have probably played that game for close to 1000 hours, I played it so much my original CD broke.
Sorry for the kinda off-topic story though.
Its the same exact landscape rendered over and over for miles.
GTA:VC for the pc or xbox had a beautiful environment, with every textures at higher res and lighting effects. Plus high amounts of unique models compared to oblivion.
You can wander for DAYS and still find new shit to do. That is actually one of the problems, once you get half the game done you just wanna check out all the shit to do and then you lose sight of the real game. I have never finished a GTA since 3 on the PS2 and then only as we had days and lots of beer.
