*only on PC version.
(yes this is an anti mac joke. the games awesome, GG mac users)
Seriously, about the only people I can even see able to play this are those that got a Macbook Pro with a mobile 8600GT or an iMac with a 2600 PRO, and even then it'd be cruddy.
Don't even talk about Mac Pro's -- the prices of one of the custom video cards for that thing are ridiculous.
i own a macbook i also run windows on it why you ask? because apples hardware for some reason runs xp and vista faster than any laptop or pc i've ever ran it on.
I just hope it plays online on the same networks as the PC version. I don't want to have to play against a bunch of Mac noobs (and also a MUCH smaller community as well).
I have to dual-boot to play Team Fortress 2 right now and it's pretty annoying, and I don't want to pay another $60 or more for a Windows virtual installer (VMWare, Parallels, Crossover, etc.) which would probably result in even worse performance.
Generally speaking, if one was to purchase a PC and a MAC system for the same budget, for lets say $2000 the chances are the PC would have the latest hardware equipped, you rarely see a MAC with the latest graphics card such as the Nvida 8800GTX/ATI 3870. PC tends to have a greater support in terms of component drivers, application updates, and game patches. So in terms of support PC would win hands down.
So to reiterate, PC are more likely to be equipped with the latest components, more software support through patches and updates, so whether you run your windows operating system on a MAC or PC the performance should the equivalent because they run equivalent hardware makeups.

its like someone says MAC or APPLE and people start shitting there pants and getting angry ha
macs made a good business deal going with the intels, because they are tons faster than the average person is used to (comparing to older desktop/laptops, they are going to pwn a P4 or turion)
thats just an OPINION and i think that the mac os utilizes alot of the hardware differently than windows does and that is what makes it do things faster with certain applications as...movie editing, photoshop cs2 and 3 dreamweaver..any editing program..it blows windows away...as far as an operating system handles resources.
i have both a mac and a pc and both have windows xp on it...and they aren't far off in specs from each other. it has NOTHING to do with the apple commercials flaming windows vista or any of the sort..its funny how many people actually contradicted themselves
ready for it
"macs aren't built for gaming"
"macs and pcs have "The same" hardware inside one another"
hm isnt that funny?
Well if Mac operating systems are that great why do you run windows XP on your Mac, why not install a Mac operating system only if it's uber great at utilizing applications? (actually don't answer this part because you use one OS for games such as COD and the other OS's for another reason) Thats strange because earlier you said that the "Mac operating system" improved performance however now your saying its the Mac's superior hardware architecture that is responsible for performance, so which is it?
