I'm really waiting for two things related to this card:

1.) What will the pricing be, I hope they keep it at the same price as the 8800GS($109)
2.) Can you flash an 8800GS with a 9600GSO BIOS?

and i 2 wanna know if bios flash will make it possible to pair with 8800gs? sounds like u should be able to considering they are identical

Yeah, I'm just glad I bought the eVGA model, so if the price is the same I can just do a step-up for free(plus shipping) if I can't do a BIOS flash. Though, like you said, it should be entirely possible since the two cards are completely identical all the way down to clock speeds.

There isn't even a clock change, the cards are identical. They re-branded the 8800GS because only eVGA nd XFX picked up the 8800GS and is selling it, so no 8800GS cards are selling. They are really pushing the 9600GSO marketting compared to the 8800GS.

ah i see ..they want to wider markets for that product..i think 8800 GT ran over the GS version but evgas and xfxs sold / sell still cause clocking potential/pricerange :)
