Samsung Tries to Impress with CX-2233GW LCD Monitor

Samsung has released a new 22-inch CX-2233GW LCD display today. It comes in a sleek white finish and offers a 22-inch wide diagonal, 1680x1050 resolution, 300cd/m2 brightness, 1,000:1 contrast ratio (dynamic 20,000:1), 5ms response time and a DVI HDCP compatible port. That's pretty much everything about the CX-2233GW, it's an ordinary 22-inch LCD with "new" look. You will be able to pick up one for under €200 when it becomes available in Korea.

Yep. Shame to see them churning out more TN films, that don't even have RGB LED backlighting.

I don't see the point, especially when underlings like IIyama are already releasing monitors with RGB backlighting and they've introduced 22" with full 1920 and 1080p resolutions.

OK, I'm confused...

Is this a cheapened up, white version of my 2232GW with a piece of transparent plastic stuck at the bottom and the controls moved to the side?

BLECK! I can't stand white monitors.... I'll bet it looks nice screen wise but....
Lastly, I can't stand a 1680x1050 22", its simply too big for the resolution imo..

agreed, but i will give them credit for at least showing an actual contrast ratio. (For whatever its worth)
