The AMD Z-01 was a mobile processor with 2 cores, launched in June 2011. It is part of the Z lineup, using the Desna architecture with Socket FT1. Z-01 has 1 MB of L2 cache and operates at 1000 MHz. AMD is building the Z-01 on a 40 nm production process, the transistor count is unknown. The multiplier is locked on Z-01, which limits its overclocking capabilities. With a TDP of 6 W, the Z-01 consumes extremely little energy. AMD's processor supports DDR3 memory with a single-channel interface. This processor features the Radeon HD 6250 integrated graphics solution. Hardware virtualization is available on the Z-01, which greatly improves virtual machine performance.
