The FirePro W4130M was a professional mobile graphics chip by AMD. Built on the 28 nm process, and based on the Mars graphics processor, the chip supports DirectX 12. The Mars graphics processor is a relatively small chip with a die area of only 77 mm² and 950 million transistors. It features 384 shading units, 24 texture mapping units, and 8 ROPs. AMD has paired 1,024 MB GDDR5 memory with the FirePro W4130M, which are connected using a 128-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 775 MHz, which can be boosted up to 825 MHz, memory is running at 1000 MHz (4 Gbps effective). Being a mxm module card, the AMD FirePro W4130M does not require any additional power connector, its power draw is not exactly known. This device has no display connectivity, as it is not designed to have monitors connected to it. Rather it is intended for use in laptop/notebooks and will use the output of the host mobile device. FirePro W4130M is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 3.0 x8 interface.
