Arctic Reveals Its New P Pro Series Premium Fan Range

The P Pro Series is the result of intensive development work and production optimization and defines the new premium segment in the ARCTIC fan range. The P12 Pro and P14 Pro models offer significantly increased performance with particularly high static pressure and airflow, ideal for use with radiators and in cases. Already proven in the latest generation of Liquid Freezer III, the fans are now also available individually. The P12 Pro, P12 Pro A-RGB and P12 Pro PST (5 Pack) will initially be released, with the other 120 mm and 140 mm versions to follow in the coming weeks.

At the center of the new development: the revised fan blade design. Automated manufacturing with low tolerances enables a minimal gap between the impeller and frame - for maximized static pressure and a significantly increased airflow efficiency. An optimized bearing and extended impeller shaft, in combination with a high-precision balancing process, ensures low-vibration and permanently quiet operation.

Arctic at Computex 2025: Fanless Mini PCs, Freezer 8, Xtender VG Case, New Server Cooling

Arctic introduced some of its most important products at Computex 2025. The company is broadening its portfolio of server cooling products with the introduction of new all-in-one liquid CPU coolers for servers. It partnered with ASRock Rack to set up example servers that implement its new AIOs. Each cooler is specific to a CPU socket type, and designed keeping in mind the various hot-spots in today's chiplet-based processors. Slender 2U thru 4U-sized radiators and high-performance fans are used to dissipate heat from the CPU, as shown in the example build below. The company even has solutions for 8U GPU and AI compute servers, although we've not seen specifics on the GPU types it supports at the moment. With Moore's Law buckling, server cooling is a market hard to miss for a company like Arctic.

Next up is the Arctic Senza, a fanless mini PC barebone that's designed to be located under your PC desk. The mini PC features a centrally-located motherboard seating an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G "Cezanne" processor, flanked with two large heatsinks to which heat from the SoC is transferred by heat pipes. Arctic showed us a blow-out of how the cooling solution looks underneath. The 5700G may be an outdated processor, but you can see where Arctic is going with this concept, especially with the wealth of H-segment mobile processors and MoD (mobile on desktop) platforms to choose from.

Arctic Cooling Unveils "MX Authenticity Check" System - Notices Increase of Counterfeit Thermal Pastes

Arctic Cooling's various thermal paste products have existed as favorite mainstays for PC builders—be it hobbyists, professionals, or influencers. Unfortunately, the disappointing presence of low-grade knock-off units has soured largely good impressions of modern MX-4 and MX-6 lines. Earlier today, Tom's Hardware put a spotlight on the Swiss-founded firm's brand-new "MX Authenticity Check" system. Worried customers can check the provenance of recently purchased Arctic thermal pastes (with updated packaging); via a QR code-based checker—the real deal will ensure "safety with genuine Arctic quality." The company's latest announcement outlined/reiterated the importance of a truly effective solution: "thermal paste plays a central role in any PC build that relies on effective cooling, as it ensures optimal heat transfer from the processor to the heat sink." In further correspondence—beyond an initial introductory email—an Arctic representative disclosed that this fresh anti-piracy strategy was rolled out in response to an uptick in counterfeit products appearing across markets. Their MX Authenticity checking program is easy to use, and authentication takes "just a few seconds." Tom's Hardware summarized this process: "in brief, when you receive your new thermal paste from Arctic or one of the many retailers that carry these compounds, you first check the seal, scratch it to reveal a QR code, scan it with your mobile, and then verify it online."

ARCTIC Announces Intel LGA1700/1851 Offset Contact Frame Mounting Set

The Liquid Freezer III Series is compatible with Intel's LGA1700 and LGA1851. However, since the hotspot of the LGA1851-CPUs is off-center, offset mounting can improve cooling performance. The Intel LGA1700/1851 Offset Contact Frame Mounting Set enables precise alignment and thus optimizes cooling performance for Intel Core Ultra CPUs.

RTX 5090 FE Liquid Metal Swap: Thermal Paste Performs Just Fine

Did you catch our launch review of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition graphics card? If you did, you'd have noticed the hoops we had to jump through to disassemble the card without breaking anything. As we carefully peeled the card's aesthetic finery and worked out way down to the GPU, we found that NVIDIA is using a liquid-metal thermal interface material (TIM) between the "GB202" GPU and the unified vapor chamber plate of the Double Flow Through cooling solution. After our photography the problem arose of putting the card back together, and we wondered if using a mainstream thermal paste would be a suitable replacement since we didn't have the patience to toy with liquid metal given our review volume. So we pulled out our trusty tube of Arctic MX6, gave it a suitable application, skipped the gasket, and put the card back together.

Here's what we found—the GPU temperatures rise by about 2°C on average over the stock liquid metal TIM. In the graph below, you will see both TIM applications compete with each other over a 370-second stress from a benchmark run. In the chart the start temperatures are slightly different, this does not mean that idle temperatures are higher with liquid metal. At the end of test the maximum temperature reached with the stock liquid metal TIM is around 77.6°C. The Arctic MX6, on the other hand settles to 79.4°C. This +1.8°C temperature increase really isn't significant at all—room temperature changes between summer and winter will cause bigger swings. We also tested performance, and it was spot on, the same as pre-disassembly—not a hint of thermal throttling. Both values are safely below the 90°C thermal threshold for the RTX 5090—that's right, NVIDIA raised the thermal throttle point, it's not 83°C anymore like on the RTX 40-series Ada. Taking the RTX 5090 apart and putting it back together was a challenging experience, but we're glad we didn't have to do a liquid metal application to ensure trouble-free operation. This is good news for all DIYers—don't bother with replacing the liquid metal—a thin thermal paste application works fine, too.

[Editor's note: Our in-depth review of the Liquid Freezer III is now live]

Arctic Liquid Freezer III AIO CPU Cooler Pictured

Arctic is giving finishing touches to its new Liquid Freezer III all-in-one liquid CPU cooler. Designed almost entirely in-house by Arctic, the cooler features a few unique design improvements over its predecessor, the Liquid Freezer II series. To begin with, the pump-block features a unique design resembling an aircraft turbofan engine intake. In the previous generations of Liquid Freezer, the VRM area ventilation fan appeared suspended on top of the pump-block, like it's a secondary fixture. Here, the fan is located inside top vent of the pump-block, and guides all its airflow laterally, providing some airflow to your CPU VRM and memory areas. The pump is located adjacent to this fan.

There are three color trims with four size variants, each. The color trims include White + ARGB, Black + ARGB, and Black sans lighting. In the White + ARGB and Black + ARGB variants, the lighting includes an addressable RGB LED element on the pump-block, with the fan vent serving as an LED diffuser; and each of the included fan having lighting of its own. Size variants for each of the three trims include 240 (240 mm x 120 mm); 280 (280 mm x 140 mm); 360 (360 mm x 120 mm); and 420 (420 mm x 140 mm). Arctic has made improvements to the radiator design, to extend its finnage (heat dissipation surfare area) to the edges of the frame. We'll learn more detailed specs such as the cooling performance and fan specs, as we head closer to product launch.
The leaked teaser trailer for the Arctic Liquid Freezer III follows.
